He's with the U21's I think. He's on Sky's advert for the tournament anyway so I presume he is. Hart Richards - Terry - Cahill - Cole Lampard - Wilshere - Gerrard Walcott - Sturridge - Rooney Just thinking of that team makes a little bit of spunk seep from my penis.

Of all the players in England, I'd be quite happy to try: Hart
Richards Dawson Shawcross* Cole
Lennon Parker Gerrard Johnson
Davies
Sturridge *Throwing my credibility out of window That's just a bit of an experiment for tonight. England have to pick a system to suit their players, or the players to suit their system.

There is no way you could have Davies instead of our best player, Rooney.
He was the only Man Utd player that did anything both effort and creativity wise against Barcelona.

Walcott is the most over-rated player in the premiership

I don't care who plays so long as it isn't frigging Gareth Barry.

England has an embarrasment of riches, how this I Tie can justify his vasts amounts of pay to fuck it up is beyond me, the bloke is a turnip.
Sturridge is defo one for Englands future, Darren Bent should be Englands number 1 striker imo, simply because of his goalscoring record

There's room for Rooney in place of Sturridge. Purely an experimental line-up to see what Sturridge can do if he's handed a start for England.

Sturridge should definitely be in the squad at the very least. If Theo Walcott can get a game why can't he?

Why on Earth are Magic Johnson and Walcott even in the squad?

Glenda Johnson is another overrated sack of shite. His time will come as the new right backs take hold, Kelly is already better than him imo.

Looking at the starting 11 and the player like Rooney and Gerrard that have to come back into the side it really is an embarrassment of riches you have and shows just how bad a job Capello is doing with these resources available to him.
Its a case of choosing what system suits your best players but thats where the problem is. There is no doubt that Rooney is best suited to playing just behind the striker, as playing with Hernandez has shown, and he could strike up an excellent partnership with Bent in a 4-4-2 system IMO. The other side is that the likes of Lampard, Gerrard and Wilshere are more suited to a 3 man midfield in a 4-3-3 with Young and Downing out wide.
Defensively, Ferdinand and Terry are excellent with decent back up so the back four is quite solid and so it's just the attack that's the problem. You should have enough to beat a poor Swiss side comfortably but to push on and challenge for tournaments you need to get the balance right and a manager who knows how to get the best out of his players and for me, Capello is certainly not that man.

I'm not smug that my team would play these off the park.
That said, this is the worst crop of England players since 1994.
