Ok, we'll leave it there Rob.
Like I said, we're never going to agree on this.
I just hope to God that Pulis has more ambition to drive this club forward than you do.
If you sit still in this league, you fall backwards.

How can you say we'll leave it there Rob and then include the third line in your post? ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/cj7bsBj2jOTuEAUVaPt5.gif) If you're going to agree to disagree then that's fine but in reality, you're still trying to score points fella.

I'm not tryign to score points Paul, just re-iterating what I've said all along in this thread.
If we just try and sign back up to what we already have, we'll never push forward.
Healthy competition is good, it keeps players on their toes and will help us take that next step.
I don't agree in mererly signing back up or cover, we should aim high and I hope Tony shares that sentiment.

Do you want to leave it at that or do you want to carry it on ... which one is it? ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/vEIFeJPtIIq1awrUd6zP.gif)

Fact is we have been one of the biggest spenders outside the top 4 in the league, yet people laugh at some people thinking ambitiously ???

Carly: Hello love. Nice day at work?
Joe: Evening, sweetheart. Brilliant. I have some news.
Carly: (Clapping hands and jumping up and down on the spot) Oooohhh, tell me, tell me! Have you bought me a present? A new car? Dress? Eternity ring? Perfume?
Joe: I've got a new job.
Carly (slightly disappointed, but putting on a brave face) That's great, Joey. Is it sitting next to that nice Lee Dixon and Alan Hanson on Saturday nights, making anodyne and blindingly obvious comments about your former colleagues?
Joe: Noo-oo. Much better. I've got a contract with a new club!
Carly: Well I know it's probably not Barcelona, Joey. Once upon a time - but not now. But perhaps Espanol? Or Sevilla? Palermo, perhaps? You love it when I have a nice suntan!
Joe: Bit closer to home, love.
Carly: OK. Must be somewhere like Montpelier? Or Bordeaux is lovely. And I know Cologne is nice. My Great grandad was there in the 40s - altho in fairness that was in a Lancaster bomber.
Joe: Er no love. You won't need your passport. ("Thinks: Or will you...?")
Carly: Oh goody - it's Tottenham! Louise loved it when Jamie was at the Lane! Even Fulham or QPR would be great! Anywhere in London, really - lots of photos on Grazia and Hola! Joe: Not London, sweetie.
Carly: (Now with bottom lop quivering). Oh. I suppose Newcastle or Aston Villa are big clubs with forlorn aspirations of breaking the stranglehold of the big 4. Or is it the big 5 now? Everton maybe - we wouldn't need to pay for removals!
Joe: (shuffling his feet and looking veeerrrrry sheepish). Er, no love. It's Stoke. It's a lovely place. Tony Pulis - yes, the bloke with the baseball cap - is coming over for dinner with his wife on Friday to finalise the details.
[Door slams, followed by wind whistling through house. Lights go down on Joe, as he is engulfed in tumbleweed].

I am just trying to imagine how the prospect of moving to SCFC might be received by (what used to be) an A list WAG.

When they earn that kind of money they should be the ones calling the shots anyway, afterall they are only slappers, serial footballer shagger danielle lloyds went to wolves.

Is this really so hard to understand? I'd throw that back at you because from what I can see despite the fact that most of the rest of the folks in this debate (a couple excepted) can clearly see why Cole would fit in, most of them have said it umpteen times, you still can't see it, so I'd ask the same question of you? And you still keep trying to compare Cole to 2 unfit overweight prima donnas who were signed after the start of the season who clearly weren't interested in getting fit, and a moody player, who clearly didn't fit in with the team, showed no respect for his team mates or fans and could only play in one position. I don't understand how you can compare Cole to those kind of players, he is clearly very different.
