Oh aye, not long until we play them again! Tuesday 17th May 2011 7:45pm, and it's our 37th Barclays Premier League game of the season at eastlands against Citeh once more. Revenge would be very very sweet, but i sense changes in our line-up, and personally would be ecstatic with a point to be 100% honest. To what extent the line-up will be changed, only TP knows but i'll just have an unlikely guess.... BEGOVIC SHOTTON SHAWCROSS (c) FAYE WILSON DELAP WHELAN WHITEHEAD PUGH WALTERS JONES I know, probably way way way off the mark but it's total 3am Sunday morning guesswork. Some of our lads need a proper rest before our final game against Wigwam at The Britannia. So, for the penulitimate time this season GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRN STOKE!!

I'd give Carew a full game, give him a bit more opportunity to show if he's worth signing.

No matter how tired and jaded our boys will be I expect city to be fully pissed up still and even though they are chasing Arsenal for third I can see us taking all 3 points.

I can't see why we don't just go for it, i really hope we don't go there and just defend.

I would give big John a game also deano in and maybe couple of youngsters on the bench, why not , just need to show some pride , try and go if you can afford to I'm sure the lads would appreciate it but i know how expensive its been recently

Cuvelier and Soares on the bench Nah, put Soares in a taxi to somewhere else. Harsh, but true! I'd rather see players who have a future at this club be given a chance than one's we are getting rid of in summer. Marshall, Lund and Cuvelier for sure.

I would pick Rigsby's team but rest Jones also for Carew. He needs to play at least an hour.
Marshall's injured but I would also give Lund and Cuvelier some bench room, you can bet they won't come on though, probably wise not to throw them in yet. Shotton should come on and get a bit more time on the pitch though

Matty and Huth need to be given more time to recover from injury. Matty plainly wasn't fit but Huth did well to stay the course. Pennant should be rested - he was a star to soldier on after his ankle went twice. I'd like to see Sorenson stay in goal - he deserves it after his FA Cup performances. And Carew needs a game, as apb1 says, to see if he is worth hanging on to ( I think he is, because when Jones was off form Carew was the man!).
I'd like to think we might catch Man City with a hangover but our injuries mean it's unlikely. Sunday is more important. Three points v Wigan should secure a top 10 spot.

Man City fan here in peace. Got to wish you well lads. I was there Saturday & although we deserved the win, your supporters did your club so, so proud. You were loud & proud throughout, and very gracious at the end & we took notice of you firstly supporting your own players but also applauding ours when we picked up the cup. I hope you get to do it again sometime, and I will always remember the day as one of the best supported match I have ever seen, from both sides. Think we will take it tomorrow now after Arse's cock up, two wins & we will not need to play a qualifier.

Beat Wigan and we're pretty much guaranteed to take 9th, unless we've been truly mullered by Citeh.

Righ then lads, after Saturdays heartbreak and taking in to account Ethers, Huth and JP, what do we think TP will go for tomorrow then?
I think...
Bego Wilko Shawcross Abdy Wilson Rory Deano Whelan Pugh Walters Carew
Subs Tommy Collins Shots Tonge Jones JP (If not at all) Cuvelier
Huth to be back for Sunday and Ethers maybe too on Sunday if he is OK after Satdee.

I can see Tonge and Soares slotting in on the bench.
Without JP or Ethers I fear this game quite a bit I really do. If anything, maybe switch Jonny Walters out wide and have KJ and Carew up top but I cannot see that happening.
I cannot see Pulis attacking them, so I half expect Walters to be dropping back into midfield leaving KJ alone up top.
Probably will be something like this
Bego
Wilko Faye Shawcross Wilson
Delap Whelan Whitehead Pugh
KJ Walters
Subs: Tommy Collins Shotton Tonge Soares Carew

You can just imagine JP wanting to play every second of every game though, he is a warrior and he'll probably think, fuck it, two games left, get it strapped up and lets crack on with it, that's the attitude he has, he is a fucking warrior and he epitomized us on Saturday by playing on despite being in pain.

I would park as many buses as we can and try and frustrate their chances of third place 0-0 would be a moral victory but like most I fear the worst tomorrow, we dont deserve a thrashing
Bego Shotton Wilson Diao Shawcross Faye Walters Whitehead Whelan Carew Pugh
Let the other ladshave a rest and get ready to hopefully finish on a high on Sunday

I forgot about the General, maybe he'll slot in midield with Whelan and Whitehead could be shipped out right with Delap left.
You've got to love the general.

With the season almost over it's time to think about next year any news on transfers cilla? A bit early yet mate, I know we are keen on Stephen Warnock and Gabby yourmumsawhore but that is all at the minute pal. Warnock £4M and Gabby at £9M.

With Abdy leaving, Huth still injured and Shotton needing games I'd play Shotton in the middle with Shawcross to see how he does. Pennant maybe injured too after the treatment he got on Saturday so it could be time to play 3 in midfield? Probably not. And Warnock for 4 million? Bit too much imo.
