They certainly did, although, and excuse my sour grapes as a football fan. Them winning is a sad day for Football, in a modern age where you can buy yourself trophies with multi billionaire owners who have literally no limit on what they can spend on fees and wages.
Is that jealousy on my part? Nah, i think just disgust at them.
But aye, the football match was won by the best team today.

Beaten fair and square. It's been a great season whatever happened today. Onwards and upwards.

rigsby - I feel your pain. But to me it just makes the achievements of Coates, Pulis and our squad all the sweeter. Relatively speaking we spend nowt and yet still keep these Billionaires to 1-0.
We are Stoke

Spot on they might have won but at a cost they have lost there identity and we've kept ours. Like Chelsea they're just a team run by a egomaniac. I'd still prefer to be in our position because we're still Stoke abd a poper football club.

Best team won alright, but hey at least we weren't dicked 3-1 at home to a relegation outfit today. Now that would be embarrassing.

Beaten fair and square!!!! One of their players is potentially worth more than our entire team!! With what we have, i think we did ok, lets not forget that we are 8th in the prem with very little money to spend!

City fan here.
Your fans were superb all day, and your team fought for every ball after 20 mins. Great game, great fans, great atmosphere; was a pleasure to play you guys and I hope that you win the Europa League. We got a lesson in how good you guys really are today. Good luck, and fair play, nothing but respect for you fans today, loud as anything.
