This is a cracking funeral though to be fair, I bet even an Afghan king wouldn't get this kind of send off

I had to go to Swindon a few weeks ago so made a detour to pay it a visit. Its a very emotional place, especially as I used to be in the forces. Total respect to the people who live their for what they do.

Who died? I haven't got a clue what this programme is about. Someone in the army? Wootton Bassett is the town nearest to RAF Fairford where British casualties are brought home. The whole town lines the main street when the funeral processions of squaddies etc go through. Just where have you been? Are you not in UK?

its a program specificly about the role wooton basset plays in repatriating out war dead. not one specific person. ime sure however if the route was to pass through stoke or any other town in the uk, we would all make a special effort for every victim of war to pass through.

Royal Wooton Bassett is a fitting tribute to the town. A very moving program and you've got to give respect to the old soldies involved in the process.
Did anyone notice the Market Drayton British Legion banner being unfurled?

Sneaked it on another channel before the misses saw it, all that upsets her with quite a few in her family going out there Mrs wouldn't watch it either so I'll have to iplayer it. I used to drop a lad from the Navy off at Wooton Basset most weekends when driving up to Stoke, it's a nice town, a massive thanks to the people for what they do. I've had a couple of old friends brought back to their and coincidence a friend (both best man at each others weddings) was a coffin bearer for my other friend

That's quality, respect to those who turn out to give them the send off they deserve.
How long before the muslims start turning up with 'British Soldiers Burn in Hell' banners though?
