Are cameras allowed inside wembley? and plastic bottles i.e. bottles of drinking water?

Cameras, yes. There is a restriction on cerain types, but if its a bog standard one then no problem.
No to the bottled water. They offer you a plastic cup to empty its contents into.

cameras have never 'officially' been allowed but its very unlikely they'd stop you taking one in unless it was something that didn't appear to be for personal use (i.e. high-end SLR with zoom lenses etc.)
it would be very difficult to enforce seen as most phones have cameras nowadays.

if it has a detachable lenses then no , but a normal one is fine

i took a camera in at the semi's and it wasn't checked...neither was my bag to think about it..only thing i had taken off me was a can of deodorant...???.... i think it depends who you get on the checking table when you go through the turnstile thing ....

u can take capri sun and little cardboard cartons of pop... and cameras without removable lenses
