It is a good job really because he really is toss. 1.6m spunked up the wall there I am afraid.
Once again, on Saturday, he was mauled to death by his opponent, and Leon Best isn't even a big lad.
It took the introduction of Shawcross to "shaw" up our back 4. Ryan was immense yesterday and MUST start alongside Riggot v Bristol City!

Why?
Personally, i can't see why any player would read these boards.
Do you think TV personalities scour MB's to see what people think of them?

i think they all read these boards... absolutely.
TV personalities probably dont scour the internet for MB's about them, but the difference is that there is only really one place to come and see whats going on in our minds, and this place is it.

I don't think footballers give a shit what's going on in our minds to be honest.
Why would they?

They pretty much know what fans think of them by the reception they receive at games.
I honestly think they have better things to do than read internet message boards.
We love Stoke, they don't, they just play for them.

SIOCH...Cort's first half efforts were absolutely shambolic mate and evidence further that the man just isn't aggressive enough. He is too nice, cannot win headers under serious challenge, is lacking in pace and is a poor communicator.
It took the introduction of Shawcross to steady our back line, take control of Best and allow us to establish ourselves as a threat in the game.
Cort's best game for us came on Monday v Palace, but generally, I am unimpressed and believe that we have wasted 1.6m on a player who is no better than Clint Hill, and not a patch on Higgy or Duberry!

David has it right on Corty I'm afraid. Those touting him as our 4th best player this season need to go to specsavers.

His goals and the feelgood factor of our magnificent run of results masked his deficiencies for a while.
But it must be the worst 1.5m Pulis has spent in his career....by a massive distance. He'd have to be the first out of the door if we went up. Warnock must have seen Tone coming.
I'd go with Wilkinson-Riggott-Shawcross-Dickinson for the run-in.

Me too Fuller, with Whelan confining Pugh to the bench and Lawrence confining Cresswell to a similar role.

If Lawrence puts Cresswell on the bench, who plays right mid?

If I was a player I'd definitely read this.
On a similar note, do you reckon film stars have copies of their own films? Hmm...

Kinder...Could Liam Lawrence be the answer to your question?
Since Pearson's arrival and Lawrences absence, Cresswell has been used on the right hand side. Hopefully, the return of Liam will see Cresswell on the bench for the remainder of the season.
Can't see it myself though. Maybe Cresswell will be right back next week!

Hold on - Riggott was excellent at right back so why not keep him there with Cort / Shawcross / Dicko ?
For me, EXACTLY the same team should start against Bristol that finished against Cov, even keep Pugh in albeit I think Whelan is the better player.

TBH i thought Pearson looked pretty ineffectual against Palace and Coventry ,Centre mid seems to be his position and he doesn't look as confident or as clever as he should be with the ball. When he picks it up, he should either use his pace by running to the byline, or pass it inside and run...
But i'm pretty confident he will be alright against Bristol on the left, when fully fit etc.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tone stuck with Cresswell out on the left though ;D

Cort has got to be for the chop, shoely?
His goalscoring record masks his mediocrity as a defender - as has been mentioned from the outset by me and MD.
Wilko - Riggo - Shawx - Griff/Dicko
I can't see TP fielding Wilko and Dicko in the same side unless his hand is forced. Therefore, move Griff over to LB. Simple!

You wouldn't think we'd see Griffin again this season though. He pulled up like he'd been shot - looked a pretty bad hamstring tear?
Ameobi's didn't seem quite as bad, as he was at least able to jog around for a couple of minutes?

Ok then, lets write Griffin off.
Riggo - Shawx - Zak - Dicko

Yay, I got a mention from B_C_A_A (who next week will, of course, be C_U_A_A). Shawcross and Riggott is the way forward, I tell you. Cort has made one good tackle in his time at Stoke and it came yesterday. Bloody Rennie gave a freekick for it! I think the team that finished the game against Coventry know each other well enough to take us all the way, but that might be euphoria. We need TP's cool head

Ok then, lets write Griffin off. Riggo - Shawcross - Zak - Dicko Tone is the guy that matters. And he won't drop Leon Cort.

I agree SIOCH. Pulis won't drop Cort as like Cresswell and Pugh, he ranks as one of the chosen few.
I fear that he will persist with Riggott at right back which, in my opinion, would be a big mistake.
I thought, having won on Saturday, I would switch off for a few days, but I am already thinking of next week. I will be glued to the Barnsley v Hull game on Tuesday, hoping for Hull to avoid victory, and for the Dingles to beat Brazil, then I will be panicking about how our manager will approach the Bristol game.
In fact, I am doing that already!
