At 10pm on Tuesday, we could be first, second, or third. If we are still first, then I think we will be champions.

If we can the next two games and a draw against Leicester then I'm 90% sure we'll go up.
Three wins and the BAR IS OPEN.!!

Forget The Baggies, the games to look out for are Barnsley v Hull, Sheff Utd v Hull and Watford v Palace.
All of those games will be over by the time we kick off against Bristol City and if they're either drawn or end in defeat for Hull and Watford then we'll know that a victory next Saturday will mean that we can win promotion at Colchester.
It might be a bit wishful thinking, but they're hardly easy fixtures for Hull and Watford are they?

Hull and West Brom both have 3 away games out of 4 to come - not easy, plus their away form is not the best.
A win against Brizzle and the finishing post is almost in sight :-)

I'd quite happily take (in 2 weeks time) knowing win v Leicester would mean promotion,
Good point re tomorrow, both teams with games in hand are playing, if they drop points the title should be ours

I wouldn't fancy Hulls run-in. If we beat Brizzle it will break their backs and we will be in a fantastic position particularly if Watford don't beat Palace - and I don't think they will.

Wolves' run in looks a piece of piss on "screen",I had them second on the predictor table.

I can't see Hull beating Sheffield United, Ipswich and Barnsley away....
It's up to us now, totally in our hands.

Good point Davef, not thought about it that way, if the results drop for us we could be looking for promo with a game to go. Though having said that, last game at Layer Road isn't it? So they should be fired up to prove a few people wrong and I see old Lisbie has decided to stay at the U's so he may want to prove a point. Oh I hate this, 3 games left and I'm a wreck already!!

A week ago I thought we'd do well to get the points together to make the play-offs if we carried on playing like we did v Palarse (especially first half).
Now, I'm thinking three more wins and a top two finish looks a distinct possibility!!
Is that fickle or just the inevitable mood swings of someone so desperate for his beloved club to go up, but so unsure of it doing so given the topsy-turvy nature of both its and its challengers' form.
IMHO I think we will get two wins and a draw which, given others' dropped points, will be enough to secure second spot with 79 points.

I think that by far the most likely outcome, looking at the fixtures, is that we will need to beat Leicester on the final day for an auto spot and what a fucking day it will be.

I can see both the games in hand being draws leaving us 2nd to the baggies, we'll beat brizzle 2-1 and follow up with a 3-1 win at layer road to win promotion! The Leicester game will be for the title and i can't see the Albion winning at QPR so it's still in our hands. GOOOAAAARRRRNN YOU RIP ROARING POTTERS STOKE CITY F.C - CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS 2008 ;D ;D ;D
Would have been so different if Liam "Stallone" Lawrence hadn't made the Coventry game. If we'd had Riccy and Liam for those games they missed i'm sure a win on Saturday would have mean't promotion!

I am just taking it one step at a time. Hopefully by Saturday evening, wolves will be out of the picture for us if we win. (win tonight and draw sat = they can't catch us then).
One less team to think about.
