I honestly think, although I'm not a massive fan of his as a person, that Holloway deserves it.
Winning the FA Cup would be a terrific achievement, but I actually think TP has got more wrong this season than at any stage since we were promoted. Credit to him for getting it right over the past month though.
Few contenders really stand out though. Coyle I guess is a contender. Fergie has managed to get the best out of the most average Man Yoo team in living memory.

Holloway if Blackpool stay up

If we win the cup, Pulis has to get it. Moyes got it when everton won the cup, and they are much better and more established than us. The only exception to this will be if Holloway keeps Blackpool up. I think that would be the biggest achievement in the premier league ever on the tiny budget he has. Their wage bill is under half what ours was when we first got up, and everyone wrote us off! But a trophey would trump that for Pulis I think, Wenger is proving how hard it is to win anything even with a top 4 side.

Holloway ...... taking Balckpool back to the Championship Coyle ....... won nothing Fergie .... expected to win the league and Cups Coyle is clutching at straws, admittedly. Overhyped. Man Yoo weren't expected to win the league this season. That's not a great side he's got there yet he's going to win the title barring a catastrophe and probably get to the European Cup final as well. Holloway's Blackpool should by rights have done a Derby given their budget. They couldn't attract journeymen like Jon Stead with the wages they were offering. Yet with a collection of waifs and strays on a shoestring they've made a real fight of it, been involved in some exciting games and bloodied the nose of a few of the top 6.

There`s no reason TP shouldnt win it, he has taken players who have seemed to have had their chances on the big stage and failed. Players with problems and revitalised them just look at Pennent and Ethers. TP has spent wisely we had Shawcross for next to nothing and Huth, we got the the biggest score line in 72 years at wembley. IMO if he wins he deserves it.

Ridiculous that Rory wasn't in the running for either of the Player of the Year awards.
There is not a better professional in English football.
I can't see many favouring our club unfortunately for any national awards.

It could be argued though that it's his bad calls that have put us five points off the relegation zone when we should have been long safe. I'm a big TP fan, and in our first season up I thought he was a deserving candidate for the award, but this has been a strange old season and he's got as much bafflingly wrong as he has exhilaratingly right.

One of the worst 'midfielders' in the league, March. One of the best you mean Waddo and more importantly, one of the best 'professionals'. (Yet another assist on Saturday ) He has been an ever present through our rise through the footballing world, has ammassed around 400 Prem appearances, is our most famous player and is clearly being groomed (alongside Salif) for a role in our coaching team. His charity work is largely unreported by the gutter press. He is intelligent, reliable, hard working and level headed. I would suggest that Rory is exactly the sort of role model that all young footballers should be looking up to. (When TP finally retires in 10 years' time, you can already see the plan is to have Salif as boss with Rory and Mama as Assistants.)

The last few years it seems to be awarded for hype. Bale hasn't been the Premier League's top performer this year by any stretch, and neither was Giggs when he won it a couple of years back. Not that march really thinks Rory should be among the contenders, but it was enough to get Hudson spluttering into his early morning turps ;D

The point I was making was that other factors should be taken into account, not just who is the media darling for that particular week.

I'd definitely have Pulis in the running for this. By rights it should probably go to Fergie, but he's made as many errors as Sir TP during the campaign. Pulis has made a few "dark forces" comments through the season and I'd warrant there's a fair amount that's gone on behind the scenes.
