I feel Tue could be a massive game for us. If we can avoid defeat we WILL be safe. Having a look at the run in for every other team if we just draw on tue and lose every other game i still feel with our goal difference and with other games around us we will be safe. A draw on tue will be a reall good result in terms of the table as it takes 2 points off wolves and puts us even further away from the bottom 3. We just need to avoid defeat.
Iv ran a predictor through and if we do draw on tue the worse case 40 points will keep you up and we will have that, however if wolves win 42 points will be needed, if wolves lose 39 points will be needed. This game is really that important to the table.

we have arsenal and man city in that so i would say that tbh, just 1 point thats all we need, if we get it on tue we will be looking forward to a sunny weekend away to blackpool and a cup final and just enjoy the rest of the season

I would think we have had bigger games than wolves at home

We have had bigger games but come on look at the table nothing is bigger than a definate safety mark which we will have if we gain 1 point

two points from the next two games is still a good result and would put us on 41 points and certain safety. 3 points on Tuesday puts us up to 9th place ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)

I think its a huge game - Win we are totally safe but should we lose then we have some tough games coming up before our final 'winnable' home game against Wigan.
It would be brilliant to remove any lingering doubts and to put the situation to bed once and for all

I agree if we do avoid defeat thats it , it puts everything to bed we can look upwards and look forward to game to come rather than thinking ooo if we draw or win this and they lose we are safe. All them emotions will go as we would be SAFE

Got a bad feeling about Tuesday. I can see another West Brom performance and TP moaning about tiredness. Two big games this week with a minimum of two points. I think Wolves will get out of it and be replaced by Blackpool.

Wolves, arseholes and wigwam at home should get us at least 5 points and a point from our 2 away games is not a big ask surely.

Right just 48 hours untill our poor inbred Staffordshire neighbours come rolling into town. Its been an incredible few weeks to be a Stoke fan with our Semi-Final win and a cracking away performance against Aston Villa to boot. I would think that TP would remain unchanged from Saturday's draw at Villa park however it seemed to me yesterday that some of the players started to look a bit jaded after the Lord Mayor's show, so to speak. Having saying that I can't really think of any reasons to drop any of the current starting XI, I fear if any are dropped it could be detrimental to moral within the team. Players like Whitehead are more then able to slot into the first XI however him and Whelan don't seem to play well together as Whelan doe swith Rory, but I feel that we will need a player like Whelan if we are to cut open a Wolves back 4 that are fighting for their lives down at the bottom of the table. Also there's the fear that Etherington and Pennant will pick up an injury an be out for the biggest game in the club's history. Begovic Wilko Huth Shawcross Wilson Pennant Delap Whelan Etherington Jones Walters With any look we'll be 6-0 up at half time and the lads can take it nice and easy and we'll be over the magical 40 point mark so we can concentrate on the FA cup final. Here's to hoping For the Gamblers amonst us my top tip for Tuesday is Karl 'sideways' Henry not to make a forward pass all match. Agree with team selection. Think TP may start to rest players as soon as we reach 42 points. So there may well be some different players starting next satdee ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

I think he will rest one of Pennant or Etherington (or both).
I would probably rest Etherington, he was running on empty by the time he came off at Villa.
A few changes would effect morale less than a weary team losing.

However I would be terribly insulted if we didn't put the final nail in Arsenal's title dream a part from that I hope TP starts to rest a few players

I just dont get this "tired" thing. Tell that to players from the lower leagues and those who play in the Champions league. I'll be surprised if we have any of our attacking players who've started more than 30 league games this season other than Rory. I appreciate Wembleys a tough surface to play on but all said and done we should be no less fit than Wolves. If I was TP I'd be tempted to play Ethers from 45 mins because he should torment there defenders when they're tiring. I think you can get away with your back 4 and front 2 playing more matches but the midfields where we need to freshen up if anywhere I just can't see who we could play on the wings that wouldn't greatly weaken our team. This is exactly why selling Tuncay was so ludicrous with Ric injured too it's higlighted it even more as a crazy decision.

Its a really tricky decision for TP as if he rests Ethers and Pennant and plays Soares and Tonge on the wing and we lose then lots of questions will be asked. Likewise if we start with JP and Ethers and they get injured the same critsicism will come. If we were to lose against Wolves then we'll heap pressure on ourselves and then there'll be no option but to risk our players in a fight to stay up. Good luck TP it's a bloody hard choice for you.

Cobham
I hardly think that TP is going to play Tonge and Soares on the wing however I can possibly see Pennant been rested but just relying on Etherington all match will increase the chance of him been injured. I think he'll play both as right from the off he's said that Premership football is the main aim and I don't think that'll change

tony and the lads will despatch those silly piss poor wolverhampton boys with in the first twenty minutes... then its party time,we can all celebrate another season in the premiership. wembley win will be a bonus, but survival is the main priority. i predict stoke 3-0 wolfies boys.... huth, etherington and rory just for the hell of it.. i also think that karl henry will be out to dole out some bone breakers. will be interesting to see if him and young shawcross slugging it out. young ryan owes us and TP a big performance. goarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn stoke... charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge.
