The tough fact for many a Stokie who was there during the dark days is that are going to be that little bit older, probably have family and may well have moved away due to work etc.
Many of the regulars now are 'lads' who havent yet reached this stage in life and as such can afford an S/T etc.
Its a raw deal but its the same for every team that acheives a modicum of success. I (like) many have still carried on going home and away despite living 150 miles away and taking my kids with me.
I couldnt get tickets for all my family for the semi and its going to be even tougher for the final but I have to accept its down to a set of circumstances - thats all.
If people cant get to Wembley for whatever reason, get up the Brit, go into Stoke, whatever and soak it all up with fellow Stokies if possible - You will be 'there' in spirit if not in actual body - Thats all that matters.

The person with the highest score will get first pick of tickets while anybody who has an "Oatcake Joined Date" of April 2011 will be at the back of the queue. Simple, everbody's happy. Bugger wish I hadn't deleted my joined "dec 2004" account now, or that we still posted on rivals and had my "joined 2000" account, or we still used the fenetre site, and it kept a record of who'd looked at it in late 1995 when it was still "under construction" I'd be in queue just behind oatie admin then ;D

I wont be able to go to the final and I have accepted that, the Semi-Final was my FA Cup Final but im not moaning or whinging, do what I'm doing and find an alternative way to support your team, OUR team. There is such thing as a TV you know?
So after 39 years without a major trophy, your going to be more worried about not getting a ticket than actually watching the match? Watch it at home, and enjoy Stoke Citys moment of glory, as I am.

Spot on, I'm in the same situation, but I'll take great pleasure in watching the FA Cup Final on TV, like I have done every year for the past 50, but with the exception that it will be the first time Stoke are there. I won't even go to a pub to do it, because I never have before.

Agree with a lot of sentiments on here. Starting to grate now, the 'I supported them during real low points, Grimsby, Walsall, Gillingham away'. So did plenty of others. And what do you expect it to be judged on? How long you've supported Stoke? Age? Hardly fair is it.

To be fair I didnt see anything in the original post complaining that season ticket holders will get tickets as most agree theres little anyone can do so it's completely uneccesary to slate the guy for saying he'll be missing out on the final.he wasnt moaning at those who will get tickets just explaining why he's gutted which is fair enough but as usual cocks on here have a knee jerk reaction without listening to someones point properly because all they want to do is criticise and slag people and THAT is really half the problem in the uk at the moment! Fair point made, I'm in Oz now and am 99.9% sure i wont be back for the final (leaving that 0.01% just in case) but you lads an lasses who do us proud now for the 12 th man, shouldn't put down the generation who followed the Stoke through thick n thin, not many of you will ever admit to not being there or some are just too young 'to have been there'..... But if you had of been there we would of been getting 20000 a week at home matches and 6 -7000 away every week at places like rotherham etc: (so some of you didn't turn up) So don't be so condascending to other fans who were there and enjoy the day and help win it for us all ..... BUT DONT EVER THINK YOU ARE BETTER THAN ANY OTHER STOKE FAN ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD Remember you are the cyber bullies... We were the 'real' bullies

Well said, I can only assume that the majority of people that have posted on here didn't read the original post and just decided to jump in with a hilarious reply asking would be like a medal. He is simply stating he knows he won't get a ticket and it is gutting for him and thousands like him. The fact that the FA allocate only 25,000 to each team in a stadium that can hold 90,000 is a fucking disgrace and shows they are just money grabbing bastards and couldn't give two shits about fans.

imagine if bolton had won on sunday and how many loyal " i was there in the lower leagues" bolton fans would moan at the small allocation when they dont sell out the reebok or their semi allocation.
we have 21k ST holders I assume we could sell 50k tickets if we had them and still someone would miss out
whilst 25k is still a disgrace it is only right that due to the way wembley was costed to build plus sponsors such as EON etc who pour money into the game they deserve an amount of tickets. 40K to share is wrong though and as i posted earlier the fa is just allowing ticket touting to happen

im one of the many gloryhunting season ticket holders lol but im going to wembley so i dont care. who plays up front for us again i forgot and whos the manager. But seriously i think all season ticket holders should just put i am a glory hunter at the start of each post then all the moaners will get really pissed off at us and fuck off back to vales website.buy the way i have supported stoke since i was a kid down the vic and again at the fortress didnt attend every game just the ones i could make but unlike the 30 000 dumb asses out there when we got promoted i realized sitting in the same seat every week would become a very hard thing to do so i jumped on bandwagon and upgraded to a season ticket thank god for my foresight. wembley wembley im a gloryhunting stokie and im off to wembley lol.

Completely agree that every season ticket holder should defo go for the final, its just when you get condascending t w a t s who think they are the righteous Stoke fans who think they are above other Stoke fans who can't be there week in week out, when it comes down to it Stoke WOULD fill the whole of wembley, the same goes for probably 30 odd clubs...
Please remember though we all support the same team, if you get a ticket good luck, but why bother rub it, cuz you know another 100 FANS haven't got a ticket to your one...
Someone in the future will always remember (especially if a certain person is being a c u n t)

I'm with thepom here.
I can't believe what I'm reading here. Who are these self righteous cnuts?
Surely not the same ones getting the "organised" busses from the Alsager Arms in the early 90's to places like Bolton away? Or been part of the 6500 or so fans at a home to Bradford when Graham Paddon was in charge, been part of the 1000 or so going to Reading away and running amok in the home stands or been on the pitch at Grimsby a week later?
Circumstances change ..... we shouldn't be too quick to stick the boot in.

Stoke will do the 'fairest' thing they can do with the shoddy amount of tickets available to them. We can't exactally sit of each others laps can we?
The way I see it, if you want to be there, where ever its sitting, you'll do your fucking damndest get get one regardless.
