I agree that we should sing it better but I'm not a fan of backing tracks. It's a bit "Disneyland" for me and reminds me of Chelsea and United away games when they all sing along to a record and clap at the appropriate places! And I wish they hadn't played it at the end yesterday; I'm not saying it wasn't good in its way but it went on so long that the players and staff were leaving the pitch before it finished. I think that at a moment like that you want it to be more personal and chant individual players names etc. Imagine how happy Wilko would have been with a rousing chant of his name at Wembley, as I'm sure all the other players would have been. The problem with them playing it at the end is that they were choosing what we should sing for the TV audience's entertainment - rather than us choosing! We probably would have sung it anyway - but we might have had time for some others as well! Small point - and it hardly ruined the day! ;D

agree that it's better sung slow but I too would have preferred nothing from the PA and that we'd been allowed to conduct our own post game celebration.
I think it's the same before the match too, stadium officials never seem to want to allow an atmosphere to build naturally, if there's no music they feel like they aren't doing their jobs right.

It's a tough one for me. If everybody sings together then you don't need it but that rarely happens. I thought it sounded great yesterday. They use a track at Anfield and it seems to work pretty well for them.
