www.skybet.com/betting/football/transfer-specials/t10003041.html... Was having a look initially to see if I could find a Jose Enrique to Liverpool bet as I've heard it's a done deal and found that Gabby was 3/1 to sign for us in the summer with the Black Cats being at 14s. Read into it as you want but just wondering whether anyones heard any kind of speculation or would be happy with Gabby at Stoke.

Well.. It just really depends on how serious this '3 year plan' is. If we really do adapt our football to accommodate for more 'pure football'. I would like to think Gabby would be the last player we would need. However I think with our current up and at 'em, counter attacking football he could be really effective especially in regards of running the channels with his explosive pace.
Personally I hope we don't change our ways too much because I think the way we play is really effective and good to watch.

I rate him.personally I reckon if u want a player that runs at people, then gives the ball away and whenever he shoots will inevitably put it in row z you can't really go wrong with gabby!

Gabriel Agbonlahor = *a rich man's Martin Curruthers?
* . . . mean't in a complimentary way.
He'd be a great addition to our front line, he's young, can play out wide or up-front, has loads of pace, scores goals and is on the fringes of the England team. Yes, I'd take him tomorrow but Villa would be mad to sell, so will they?

I'd have him here. Cover for the wings and would start up front.

Would be a very good signing for Stoke.
Just wait for the "He's not as good as Fuller comments to follow..."

The title of the thread is wrong. He is 3/1 to sign NOT "3/1 on" to sign. The original poster is obviously not a betting man! He'd be a useful addition to a Pulis squad being able to cover the wings and provide genuine pace up front. I can think of players I'd prefer, but not many (if any) of them would sign for us. He is a realistic target if Fuller leaves which he probably will. Left back and a central midfielder (or two) who can both tackle and pass have to be equal priorities though.

Agbonlahor would be a step in the right direction and would be a huge sign of our intent. Wont happen though ;D

I expressed my desire to sign him on Football Manager as Stoke boss, and he said he would be intrested to the media.
It's basically a done deal.

Some people are turning into 'player snobs' on here.
I like the fella. I rate him, but I heard he's a bit mardy. Would he fit into BKP's dressing room ? A possible kick to the groing from Tone on his signing, would put him straight.
" Welcome aboard, son. CRRRAKKKKKKKKKK". Straight to the kegs. I think he'd be a bluddy good nogga man for us.

Decent player who i'd have here. Could run the channels all day long and chase as many balls as Etherington, Pennant or Marshall are going to play in front of him.

We all know the bookie's price is 3/1. It was YOU who said that people on here believed he was going to come because of that price. No one on this thread has said that they think he is coming - so where is your evidence for saying that people do think he is coming.

Skybet odds mean nothing - that is all real chance of happening 30/1, but like i said hope he does come.
