They really are taking the piss! I'm sure they would have us on after The Sky At Night if they could get away with it!

Every time MOTD comes round again, I've convinced myself there's no conspiracy and forget how fucking blatant it seems when it's actually on.

There should be a simple formula for the order - based on number of goals, chances etc., combined with relative league positions.

Mid table team against one who probably won't qualify for the champions league. Get in the real world folks. Sky's game of the day this week, same last week and the match before that was the biggest win in the Premiership that day, yet we still don't get shown within the first 3 games on MOTD. Our last three games have been very entertaining. I honestly think that if we gave someone an 8-0 drubbing we still wouldn't be the first game on MOTD.

Match of the Day is a completely different kettle of fish and at this stage of the seaon will always concentrate on the title race and relegation.

Result! I knew there was no need to rush back from the pub- MOTD is nothing if not predictable in their ignorance. I'd love to know how they decide the order of games.

Who watches this still? Sky we are game of the day AGAIN 2 weeks running now Nice to know, makes all those 'wouldnt watch that every week' sour grapes opposition fans seem a bit daft. As for the MOTD thing, you could pick the line up before the games are played, for them its all about how much it impacts on relegation/championship and our games hardly ever do.

If Rooney got a goal like Etherington's, the MOTD 3 would still be wanking now. At least the commentator gave Matty credit.

I don't mind when we're on, what I do mind is (like tonight) they offer no analysis or opinion on Stoke at all - amazes me when they can't even be arsed to offer even a sentence.
GoS is miles better - it does depend who the guests are of course but there's usually a manager so at least there's some tactical nous and analysis and when people slip into unfairly stereotyping Stoke Kammy usually pulls 'em up on it.
Of course on occasion the stereotyping is correct though!

Well most of my thoughts been covered here already, if Giggs had scored matty's goal and Torres or Drogba or Rooney had scored Kenwynne's goal then we would of had "the pundit's" creaming themselves for most of the programme, they were by far the best two goals scored today and no mention whatsoever, quite possibly either goal a contender for goal of the season too, and then to add insult neither goal shown at the end when playing out the credits!

Goals on Sunday is light years ahead of MOTD. Shows full highlights of each game, with no bias, common sense and some pundits who don't chat utter shite.
