They are really bad at the moment. Considering the players they have should be doing a lot better. I've always thought he was a good spotter of players but not a very good manager.

Indeed, Mr Discopants urged us all to accept just how very limited Stoke City are whilst his team were far superior. He's been missing from this board for some time now (can't imagine why). They've had terrible injury problems to be fair, but even so they should be doing far better than they are.

Bruce for the chop?
I imagine fat head's first question would be "is it lamb or pork?"

Since we were promoted, our respective Premier League records are:
Stoke P108 W34 D28 L46 F111 A145 PTS130 Sunderland P108 W29 D31 L48 F117 A155 PTS118
We have finished above them 2 seasons running and are above them now. Yet their fans STILL think they are better than us.

I remember Bruce making a snidey comment about it being "Stoke's cup final" when Birmingham beat us in the cup a few seasons back - I've despised him ever since.

That would be madness. Bruce has done really well to keep a little club like Sunderland in the PL for the past two years. Especially, as big clubs like Stoke keep on pinching their better players

They shouldn't really sack him. Let him have next season and enough time to bring in a striker to replace Bent and they'll finish much higher up the table. Sacking him would be a knee jerk reaction.

Sunderland wont go down IMO they having a bad run of form results have more or less gone our way today and their way with the bottom clubs losing. I think they can bring in a quality striker with the funds they got from Bent. Bruce has a talent for unearthing some real talent although will be happy if they finish below us AGAIN !!!

This is the third season running that a club with one of the largest wage bills in the Prem have gone into the last 6 matches worried about relegation.
Added to that, the players their manager doesn't rate do better elsewhere after he has sold them.
The only sensible conclusion to be drawn from this evidence is that their manager is out of his depth.
