ok, so it didn't come off for us today. but i still think we saw something pretty special. we played with a kind of freedom that it's rare to see us play with away from home. it was a thoroughly enjoyable match apart from the result and i think kenny had a fantastic game, i just hope he keeps it up. like i said. not usually an optimist but i feel proud that my team were part of that match. the next game could prove to be one of the best day's of each of our lives and it will lead to potentially even better days, the final, europe even. maybe it's the sunny weather, i don't know, but i'm feeling very optimistic after today despite the loss. just look how far we've come, today wasn't the result we hoped for but i remember standing in an open away end in the pouring rain seeing us lose 5-1 at oxford. i'm pretty much sure dean crowe was the scorer of ours and was the great striking hope for us at the time. if you'd have give me a glimpse of the future back then i couldnt and wouldn't of believed it. we live in crazy times people! the state of the economy and the protesters on the streets, it's hard times, but during these times turning to your football team can provide extra escapism and a weekly distraction. it can bring people together. a city together. it seems to have exploded a happy red and white glow over our city and it's people. i truly believe we're living in exciting times. the current generation will finally have the chance to tell their kids about how it was so much better in my day, the sun was shining, people got on, the city had a buzz about it, and our red and white giants were a team to be proud of Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=156649&page=17#ixzz1J2j00ybD

Jones scored finaly, scored 2 goals away from home, no injuries, Matty scored a cracker, still keep some confidence going into the next game, 6 points clear with 6 games left and Wolves and Wigan coming up at home, all the bottom 3 lost, Sunderland are slumping, Blackpool have arsenal tommorow and have only picked up 8 points this year. So we can't really look at it to negatively

KJ also seems to be hitting a bit of form at the right time in readiness for the biggest game we have had since clinching promotion

Kenwyne really showed today what he is capable of doing! He even looked to have some pace which he hasn't showed us too often so far! Our best player today!;D

Our best player today!;D he reminded me of that first ten or so minutes we were treated to on the opening day against wolves before going off injured. he was shooting from range, taken people on, showing pace i didn't even know he had. good time to hit form and could still end up playing a huge part in our season!

I don't get to many games. and after Fulham, West Ham League Cup and league, I was not over confident, as Stoke don't seem to play to well in London, but I really enjoyed today and thought it was a fantastic game. OK I feel we deserved at least a point from it, but its was good to see a postive attacking team awayf rom home. well done and now I'm really really looking forward to Sunday even more.

4 of our last 6 games are against teams occupying a place in the bottom 5 so we should easily be ok. I think we should get another 10 points which will equal further progress.
