Seen as it's only 2 days away - thought I would start one.
Could be an 'interesting' team selection.
Will TP go as unchanged as possible,
Bego Wilson Huth Shawcross Collins Peannant Delap Whelan Etherington Walters Jones
Or will it be a containment team, with one eye on Wembley.
Something like
Bego Wilson Huth Shawcross Collins
3 CM's
Whelan Diao Whitehead
Walters Delap on the wings
Jones up front
I must admit, I wouldn't be too upset with the 2nd line-up
Pennant/Ethers/Fuller to come on with 30 mins to go.

IMHO it would be a shocking decision to go with your 2nd line up. Why on earth should we change a winning team (who are playing some of the best stuff since pomotion)...to a team selection that has failed time and time again away from home? Diao is barely league one standard. Walters and Delap are neither wingers...do you want us to lose this game or something? Absolutely baffling team.

Maybe because of half an eye on Wembley.
Would anyone really be shocked to see the 2nd line-up announced?
Don't get me wrong - I would love the 1st one, its a long journey and an expensive day out.

Fair enough. But I think those who make the journey to White Hart Line will be very discontent if they find out it is "usual TP tactics away from home". In other words raising the white flag.

My team prediction wud be : begovic wilko huth shawcross collins walters whitehead whelan ( to swap with delap 65 mins) ethers (swapped with pennant on 55 mins) carew (if fit) if not jones ( if jones is playing swapped with fuller score prediction: 2-1 to spurs with defoe scoring first for them us equalising through jones or carew (whoever playing) and then them winning it through a penalty .... But oh well cus a week later were off to wembley and can see us getting enough points to stay up anyway

We decided to use this thread because ladyinred had made the effort to actually start a good thread with some discussion about what the team could be.
We could've merged the threads but the original one's post would've been the first point so that was pointless.
It's nothing personal.

I am sure we've got a game tomorrow, but no one seems to care! Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to Wembley, but it seems like everyone has forgotten their bread and butter. Guess that is the price of success.

Lawro's Prediction for Tottenham Hotsur v Stoke CityIt will be interesting to see how many of Tottenham's walking wounded are available after their disastrous Champions League tie against Real Madrid on Tuesday, and to see how quickly Harry Redknapp's side can get over such a big defeat. This is the first of four successive home games for Spurs that could shape their season, and Stoke will be a big test for them. The Potters were very unfortunate not to beat Chelsea last week after playing extremely well but I think they might just be edged out in this one. Prediction: Spurs 2-1 StokeAccording to Lawro's predictions for the season, this would put Spurs in 6th place on 57 points, while Stoke would be in 10th place on 39 points. In fact, Spurs go into the game in 5th place on 50 points while Stoke are in 11th place on 38 points. Here are all of Lawrenson's 2010-11 predictions, together with how the Premier League table would look like if he was correct... www.myfootballfacts.com/Mark_Lawrensons_Predictions_2010-11.html

Guess that is the price of success. Fuck it, everyone had forgotten the bread and butter against Newcastle and Chelsea as well. Suits me just fine forgetting it if we continue this little run of form.

Begovic
Wilson Shawcross Huth Collins
Pennant Whelan Walters Delap Etherington
Jones Take Pennant out, put Walters on the right, and bring Whitehead into the centre, and I think you've got the right team.

SSN now saying Carew expected to be fit to play.
Im guessing he'll be a bench job as it'd be hard to see even TP dropping Jones or Walters after the Chelski match

Anyone know if you can pay on the gate for Spoz. Might be able to go but can't get to the Brit to get tickets today.
