The Coventry City boss was at the Britannia Stadium on Monday night running the rule over Tony Pulis's men.
"It was a funny game really," he said. "In the first half Palace played very good football and could have scored more goals really, but Stoke hit the post and had one that travelled across the line.
"If they had gone a goal up I am sure it would have been different.
"But there was an air of anxiety and a lot of nerves there with the supporters getting on the players' backs because they are so close to promotion now.
"In the second half they were 2-0 down and launching the ball into the box but couldn't score, and they ended up losing 2-1.
"We went there knowing what to expect but it was nice to see them so close to Saturday. They were organised and strong, and we know this will be a big test for us."
Another one with preconceived views on our "game".
Lets hope Lawro is back!

I don't think anyone could accuse our defence of being very "organised" this season RoryM

Just shows how long it takes to shake off this 'organised and strong' tag.
