We pay 8m for KJ Sunderland pay out another 5m on top and get there self a very very good goal scorer in Asamoah Gyan and we end up with well 8 million pounds worth of off the pitch problems who never really looks arsed great bit of business by Steve Bruce........

My point is a simple one it was a good bit of business to sell us KJ for 8m and the 2.75m we paid for Collins forgot about that deal that leaves Steve Bruce needing to put 2.25m to buy a Quailty GOAL SCORER Don't think Torres would be in our transfer budget Numpty

(and they are paying him alot of his wage via golden handshake) they paid 13 million out right for gyan and i bet hes well out of our wage structure so who is the numpty now?

"A few poor performances" ;D Understatement of the century or what. Yes only 25 poor performances, hes doing smashing ;D got a goal a few months back too. Whilst it was a dreadful bit of business for the club, I will always get behind him when hes on the pitch. I save my moaning for after the game (mostly).

Well I no which one I would prefer up front, they will end up making big money on Gyan just like they did with Darren Bent....... Says it all when a players old club are paying him with golden handshakes to move him on from the club aren't we doing that with EG at Fulham

So the point of your post is; if we'd have spent millions more and paid loads more in wages we'd have got a better player? Have you ever considered going into football managment, with such an amazing foresight I'm sure you'd be a roaring success. Gouranga.

Whilst it was a dreadful bit of business for the club, I will always get behind him when hes on the pitch. I save my moaning for after the game (mostly). How many goals has Fuller scored this season? one less league goal than Jones, and hes probably played about a quarter of the matches. Besides, Ric is not in the team to score goals, his impact on a game is often invaluable. It is also worth noting that we signed Jones for goals (not for playing the Mama role). Pulis clearly stated before the season he wants to see Jones scoring 10+ goals a season which is why we signed him. Hes currently on 5 league goals, and doesnt look like getting another one anytime soon (as his hideous miss against Newcastle proved). Therefore, the deal has so far proved a total flop. Though I will give him this. He is certainly trying a bit harder at the minute. And whilst a player tries it is not fair to get on his back during the game.

From the reports I read it wasn't even rising to 24 million, they paid it all pretty much straight up. Great deal for Sunderland.
