And maybe it's the booze, maybe it's the red and white tinted spectacles and the euphoria of our biggest win in the Prem, maybe it's because i'm one coconut short of a shy. But i've thought for a while that we could maybes get a point out of this, even a win. I have no clear or logical explanation as to why i think that. But i reckon we have a definite chance to keep this unbeaten at home in 2011 run rolling on, continuing against Chelski on Sat 2nd April. They certainly are nothing like the team that dicked us at the tail end of last season. Let's 'ave 'em!

I can see us getting a point if they're thinking too much about the Champions League and have given up on the PL. Other than West Ham and Arsenal there's no team I'd rather see us beat with Lampard, Cole and Terry in there ranks. They're an ageing side who with the right selection and attitude we could push all the way.

Drogba not been great since his malaria ( not surprising) chelsea finishing is not great at the moment, so more points on the table.

If we go at them and play 4-4-2, we have a chance. If Tone reverts to "brown pants" team selections, we'll lose comfortably. I'm not holding my breath.

We even weren't too far away from geting a point when they were at their best at the start of the season! If only Whelan's drive had gone 10 cm lower.........

A point would be fucking brilliant. If we can contain Lampard, who let's face it has made us look monkeys in the last couple of games , we have a good chance.

Matchday approaches and despite the Wembley excitement, two weeks is a long time without my SCFC fix Coming off the back of two great results, this surely has to be looked at as a nothing to lose game? Chelsea may just have half an eye on Man Utd mid week - ya never know Given they play 4-3-3 and play quite narrow, subject to tiredness/injury, my team would be:- Begovic Wilko (as I think he will cope better with Cole) Shawcross Huth Higgy Matty (hopefully now rested and recovered) Whelan or Woody (dependant on mid week International duty as we need to stop the runs through the middle that they so like to do) Delap Pennant Jones (coming back to something like in last few games) Fuller (to run at titanic turning Terry) Walters on bench given new baby etc However wouldn't be upset with Begovic Wilson, Shawcross, Huth, Higgy Pennant, Whelan or indeed Woody, Delap, Matty Walters Jones with Walters, who is playing very well right now so long as he aint cream crackered tracking Lampard runs etc through the middle Either way would play Jones as a punt and keep Big J in reserve for 65 mins plus because either one will get battered off the ball Bloody tough game but just fancy we will earn a point from this I cant take the pain of the Bridge first season again

Tone said in an interview after Castle game that he would consider making a few changes for the Chelsea game. Either mind games with Anceloti or preparing us for one winger and a packed midfield.
Looking forward to it, but that big curly head at the back for them, along with Terry seems pretty difficult if we pack the midfield and end up lumping it up to Kenny against them pair.
To stop their full backs having a field day we need to have both our wingers on to give them something to think about. Ashley Cole will have the freedom of the pitch if we play Rory or Deano out there on the right. Cole will do nothing but bomb forward knowing he can give either of them a 20 yard head start.

TP is concerned about fatigue before the semi a tall order, but if we can get this one under our belts, it will take some of the pressure of the prem league 2-1 fuller huth

Jones Walters 1-1 Whelan still doesn't convince me but it's difficult to argue with that line-up again after the last two performances. A point would be a fantastic result for us, but I can see us winning it, morale is high at Stoke at the moment and Chelsea still look vulnerable at times. GOOOOAAARRRNNNN STOKE!
