No, their game with us is their last ever at Layer Road and they will be looking to sign off with a win. It will be very difficult to get anything there.

I can see a Brighton away situation at Colchester - when we won 5-1 & they were already down. I dont think it will be that score but a win is a must.

Don't think it makes much difference to be honest. The game will hinge on how WE approach it. If we are positive, believe and want it, we WILL have enough to win there.

I would prefer to go there with them already down rather than them needing a win to stay up.
Surely that makes that sense????

To Bebester:
Remember Brighton away when we won 4-1
Shit season, already relegated, nothing to play for
Even Paul Ware scored
BEWARE COLCHESTER AWAY

Didn't Southampton get a good result against Arsenal in their last game at the Dell? Le Tissier scored the last goal there, I recall.
Bloody typical, but we really shouldn't be going for anything other than a win there. That has to be the absolute minimum.

These games usually go one of 2 ways. Either the team who's already relegated just rolls over and gives up, or they play with freedom now that the pressure's been lifted and they end up winning! So a draw then

I feared this the most. Colchester down means they wont have any pressure on them. Just hoping the occasion brings a bit of pressure to them now instead. Relegated teams usually pick up points when there is nothing to play for and we cannot allow them anything from that game because they will want that game so bad. Lets just hope we are up for it and have strung two wins together already by that time. GULP.

In our first season back in the Championship, we only survived by the skin of our teeth, but that season Sheffield Wednesday had already been relgated with 2 games left. They then went and beat Burnley 7-2 away from home!!! Let's hope Colchester don't repeat that! Burnley 2 Sheffield Wednesday 7
