Download the podcast and listen to Tony Mowbray. Just listen to the guy. www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/audio_video/podcasts/Oh for a Manager who thinks about so much about the beautiful game. Instead we are lumbered with our current neaderthal. Brilliant interview.

I suppose Mowbray rimming is slightly less vomit inducing than Boskamp rimming.
The facts remain if us and West Brom go up, Pulis's will be the greater achievement, neanderthal or not.

It's a great interview from a bloke who obviously knows football, is prepared to coach and play the right way, compared to a bloke who wants to loan other clubs players and order them to kick the ball as far as they can to a bloke who scores 2 goals a season. As for the greater achievement thing - you are right.

Geraint Williams was being touted as manager of the year last season - can't we listen to him?
What about Ian Holloway, Iain Dowie, Jug Ears, Mick McCarthy or indeed any of the managers below us in the league.
How shocked and stunned I am that you have picked one of the managers that is above us in the league.
There were a few West Brom fans that wanted him sacked earlier this year - sound familiar Pugs?

Pugsley stop tossing of over other managers and support the one of YOUR team for a change dick! Fuck off dickwat - I have supported the team for nearly 30 years no matter who is the manager. I don't like this one so tough shit. Why is Pulis beyond criticism and why are expectations of him so low. he is not immune to abuse by paying punters i.e. me when ever it is justified. At the moment it is.

no but in the words of the 1972 cup winning teams song 'If we’re to be the greatest we need you' case you don't know that was the A side to 'we’ll be with you'. Also if Mowbray was so great why are west brom not storming this league with thier carpet total football.
Come on mate the season is over 46 games judge after the season when the team doesnt need your support.

Pugsley
You are slating our own manager for being 1 point behind another manager (and a game in hand) with only a few games left.
WBA are one of the teams with more finance than us (although I don't think that TP can have any complaints in this area) and so its not like Mowbray is working miracles is it?
Your dead right, I didn't listen to it, I'm never overly bothered by what managers say.
Still, if you want to judge managers on words then lets dig Alan Ball up.

I am not slating our manager for being 1 point behind. I am slating him for the dross he continues to serve up for my £20 a game, especially after spending the best part of £5million on players this season. We have a fine midfield who are capable of much more if given the license to do so - instead the instrctions are to lump it to a striker who has scored 2 goals all season and see if we get lucky.
I thought it was a good interview about the type of football he believes in and wants his team to play. Also about the development of players, the hard slog that is the Championship and what he thinks it takes to flourish in the Premiership. Why don't you listen to it and then comment - only a complete idiot would disagree with him.

Anybody can talk a good game.
A fine midfield?
Really?
I thought Creswell was wank. Delap was wank. Lozza was slagged by many of our senior Pulis Hating Wankstains not so long ago. Not much said about Whelan really.

I have only EVER slagged 2 players for Stoke.
Sidibe - goes without saying he is shite Delap - is only in the team for throws. On the ball he is shite.
You can't disagree with that can you?
As for talking a good game, Mowbray walks the walk. His team plays good football, are top scorers are top of the league with a game in hand and have been to the Semi-Final of the Cup.
I would love Stoke to play football but if we get promoted ugly then fantastic - we are a club DESPERATE for some kind of success.

In my opinion, Mowbray claims to play good football, but plays some dull crap on the halfway line. That's what I saw at our place, anyway. They're weak on the ball and crap in defence. Does that make him a better manager than Pulis?
We disagree on which players are crap. My views on Sidibe are documented enough, but if he was in a different style of play he'd be pretty much defunct. Delap's form has improved greatly since he got over his broken leg, he tackles and covers the defence a lot more. Unlike players such as Cisse, he hasn't let the broken leg affect his confidence either and he's started going into 50-50 balls.
But come on, are you seriously suggesting that Sidibe and Delap are worse than any one of Pericard, Parkin, Scott, Carruthers, Lightbourne, Risom and Rowson?

What?? "We'll Be With You" was the A-side to the single; the B-side was an instrumental called "Theme For A Team". Please feel free to cast some light on your statement for me.

What about the fact that WBA had to play direct football (I don't like the term Hoof) in order to get out of this league last time. It's only the parachute money that has enabled them to buy the Brazilian reserve team.
Its playing direct football and competing (Harrd Worrk) that has got us where we are now, you could argue that our form has actually worsened since TP tried to introduce more quality.

I think Sidibie is very useful if played with the right player (Fuller) -we could do better though and I rate Delap.
This 'good football' malarchy is highly subjective - I'm not impressed if you knock the ball around in your own half for most of the game and get hammered like they did at our place. We've struggled lately but we've played some excellent football this year and scored plenty of goals ourselves.
I think West Brom have come through given that they have had an established squad from day 1. Our team has been transformed (not necessarily out and out improved) throughout the year.
West Brom have plenty of money though so you would expect this.
The Pulis Hating Wankstain view of 'we only don't mind if it gets us promoted' is a little bit daft.
My personal view is that as long as we maintain a genuine challenge then Pulis will be worth perservering with. It took many a good manager a few years and plenty of money to build up squads good enough to get promoted.
The Wankstains hate him though and give Pulis no room to move so its not entirely unexpected.
Any other club would be chuffed with the season that we have had so far.
