Discuss.

Looked good at Hillsborough. But his first touch was awful Monday night.

Disagree.
A couple of his final balls in the first half were poor, but otherwise I thought he did well. Not an out-and-out winger, but much better than any of our other options on the left.

he seems pretty good to me when he has got the ball. Think your judgement is a bit harsh! he's more effective than ameobi.

Pretty much the pick of the loan players we currently have on the books at the moment IMO.
The only one I would actually say is different to what we already had.

Pearson's a top quality player who will add a lot to the team when 100% match fit. Just wish we'd have had him here earlier!!

Pearson looks quality.
The only criticism I'd have of him on Monday night is that he tended to drift inside a lot when he should have been hugging the touchline.

pearson is undoubtedly quality ... but had a poor game on Monday. Probably more to do with us being pants as a unit in the first half

I think he'd be better in the middle.

Pearson is better in the middle, but to be honest Jewell mainly plays him out left. Mind you it's a cracking bit of business by Jewell when after all said and done Pearson has only just had a hernia operation. Send him off to Stoke to get match fit for the end of the season and then sell him as he is not a Jewell signing to Stoke, Birmingham or however wants to come in for him! I suggest and hope we will try and keep him if we win promtion.

Thought he did quite well on Monday, granted a couple of his centres went astray. The reason he kept coming inside was that we were overrun in midfield and didn't get the ball out to him in the first half. He has pace which is something we have been missing.

he made too many unforced errors for my liking in the first half, did some good stuff in the second half though. I think I'd take Pugh in the centre over him though.

Considering he's only had 2 games, and probably isn't 100% match fit, he looks great. He is just like a left sided version of Liam. Not really a genuine winger, but a wide midfield player with a good engine, tucks in and keeps his shape when we haven't got the ball, but gives a bit of width and pace when we get it. His set piece delivery looked good on Monday too. Remember the improvement Liam made this season as opposed to last, and I think there is more to come from Stephen Pearson. So a hit for me.
I think TP has gambled on getting players for the Prem, so Pearson, Ameobi, Riggott and Nash have obviously come in with a view to next year. If we make it, it will turn out to be a shrewd bit of management.

So far he's flattered to deceive, looking dangerous whenever he gets the ball but a poor touch or wrong or badly executed pass often lets him down, take for example when he could have whipped it in to Shola unmarked in the first half but screwed it out for a goal kick. But, these are things that should improve as he regains full fitness and on the whole I'd say he's a good addition to the squad.

'doesn't seem an intelligent footballer'
Totally disagree. if anything some of the balls he was playing were clever, he just didn't get the execution right. He's looked a lot better than what we have had on the left all season, although compared to Cresswell, even the Pope would look good in that position.

Think he looks a very good player, very calm on the ball, no slouch and decent delivery. Our best midfielder by far on Monday night.

Not overly impressed with him, looks lively but dosen't seem to be an intelligent footballer. Discuss. how peoples opinion differ! i personally think the bloke is quality, more impressive at sheffield than monday, but i think ronaldinho would of looked ordinary in how we sent that team out to play

agree with werrington, till sidibe went off we were by passing the midfield 99 percent of the time with hoofs up to sidibe. so it s hard to judge him on that. but after that we looked a different team playing some good football and producing chance after chance. i think he is a good player and i hope we can sign him whatever happens.
on another note we have got to drop sidibe, he is not a bad player but he makes us play to much hoof ball, we play better when we mix up the play
