despite loss. according to all the web sites. said they played really well and just had bad luck in the first half but just "murdered" them in the 2nd half !!
Anyone else have a problem with these comments ?? Murdered ?? they scored 1 goal at the end of the game !! they had according to sources only 6 shots all game. maybe a good telling off for a change might adjust their attitudes and though process instead of praising them for a home loss . i wish my dad had praised me every time i did something wrong !!

I hardly think now is the time to start slagging players off mate, irrespective of what bollocks the manager is spouting.

not necessarily "slaggin" them off. just saying that they need a good stern talking to not praises just in case it might hurt their precious feelings and stop them from playing well !! well........

I wouldnt say that we murdered them 2nd half we played a damn sight better than we did in the first. But it was to late when we started to look more dangerous and as for pulis saying it was bad luck it clearly wasnt we were shit and never looked like scoring apart from sidibes header.

fromafar07,
What a manager says in public, and what happens behind closed doors are two entirely seperate issues mate.
No doubt he'll have got his point across, but there is no need to berate the players publicly. We're off-form, but it's not like they have stopped trying.

the "poor players" heaven forbid he would say they played poorly and that he is disappointed in the loss, should never hurt their feelings . Dont have to berate them, dont have to praise them ( in public or in private) either. call a spade a spade admit they played poorly and have been lately and maybe they might play better to avoid having a bad public image with their fans !!

I am sick and tired of this tired old rubbish about "luck". When we win, he's quick to take the plaudits. When we bugger it up on the scale that we have been recently he sould be just as quick to take the brickbats.
Of course he will praise the players. He fully intends to stick with his mind-boggling approach to playing the wrong players in the wrong positions with or without injuries, so anything other than praise would jeopardise that position.
I'm still furious. Good teams don't really on luck, they rely on getting it right. Good teams take the game to the opposition, and then close up when they are in front. They don't go out to defend a 0-0 draw, and then open up once they are 2-0 down.

Statistically we battered them. We had 13 corners, they had 2. We had 11 goal attempts, they had 7. Interestingly only 4 each of these were on target. They created less chances but won.
Agreed, some of the players are not at their best. But we have played plenty of better teams and players and won this season - we are tougher, more determined and we batter them. The problem is that this tactic has been failing a lot lately. We have not been so convincing since we battered Preston and lost.
I don't know about luck. I do know that it looks like we are being found out a bit by other teams and we don't have a Plan B.

Plan b what stoke nned is to get the ball on the deck more and play it around instead of shitting themselves and hoofing up field everytime.Pugh was one of the worst offenders on monday he was shitting it when the ball came to him in our half and so straight up the other end of the pitch hit and hope.
