Brain says 1 win, 2 draws and 1 loss - 5 points. Heart says 4 wins.
But it wont be enough.

I've never accepted play off, 3 out of 4 there are disappointed. Automatic promotion is the only thing to go for.

Why on earth should we have 'faith' ? Surely faith is based on a soliditity of feeling, that you can believe in someone or something ?
I have 'hope' but I have never ever had 'faith' in Stoke City - Take a look at the last 30 years for evidence of why !!

I had faith going into the Blackpool game.
I had faith up until ten minutes from the end at Hillsborough.
I had faith at 20.20 on Monday night.
Three strikes and it's out! I haven't abandoned hope though.

They need a good kick up the arse and realise what they could be throwing away.

Dead right shameless I would have taken our current position in August. Sorry all I think we have blown our chance of automatic promotion However stranger things have happened. If we get Bristol in the playoffs I fancy our chances of a day out in North London and winning the playoff final

We ALL would have accepted this in August..... Just to set the record straight, I absolutely would NOT have accepted this back in August!!! We spend the most money in the Championship, get ourselves top and the fart it all away with a dismal run of displays to record one win in eight and 7pts out of 24. Who on earth would accept that?

I'm getting a little bit tired of this "we'd have taken this position in August" line.
Yeah, sure we would. To be perfectly honest, the way things were before a ball was kicked, with our captain wanting away and our only major summer signing being Jon Parkin I would've taken a midtable finish, but the goal posts have moved since then.
We've spent a shedload, possibly being the biggest spenders in the division, we got ourselves into a fantastic position in league, on the edge of a long-awaited return to the top division and we're in real danger of messing it up.
If someone had told me at Cardiff that our manager would spend what has done, get us into an automatic promotion spot at the beginning of April, but then only reach the play offs, then NO, I wouldn't have taken it.
If a golfer at The Masters goes into the 72nd hole with a three shot lead over Tiger Woods, but then shoots an 8 to lose, do you think he'd be satisfied with second place, because he'd have taken it before the tournament started?

What has gone before is immaterial to us now, its not an issue how what we would have taken in august or how many games we have fucked away lately. Now its about getting behind the team and giving them the support that they need to secure auto promotion. The number of negative threads that bitch about recent performances compared to the amount of positive one is unbelievable. Moaning is going to help us get promoted how??? But getting behind the team and acting as the 12th man will most certainly help.
I stil have faith and believe we will get the 2nd auto place
COME ON YOU RIP ROARING POTTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have 700 or so tickets left for Coventry which is a cock stride down the motorway. As much as I agree your sentiment Irishstokie, attending THAT match and getting fully behind the team (and all those that remain where oss) is the ONLY positive thing that we as supporters can do.
It doesnt matter whether people on here moan or praise - Its their actions that matter and judging by the numbers we taking to Cov, there isnt too many who are prepared to demonstrate their 'faith' by getting themselves to Coventry !
There are plenty on here (they know who they are) that are in love with our manager and think he can do know wrong yet dont stand up and be counted by experiencing the frustration and misery first hand that many of us have over the last few weeks.
