I take it there is none for Kids. I would like to take my kids 7 and 4 and the mrs but bloody hell the cheapest this would be is £120 (and that does not include getting there, hotel, food, beer).
There should be concessions for kids the robbing bastards

I agree its a disgrace. But what can we expect from such a currupt, money thieving fa.

Think there is a concession price at half the price of an adult's ticket.

Apparently the concession price is £10 off the price the adult pays?....so if you pick the £60 seats a concession is £50 and so on

they are a tenner less than the corresponding adult price.

I know some people might not agree with taking the family as this will take up 3 seats for non regulars (I am season tick). My boy is not 4 yet and has never been. he wont have a clue what is going on and to be honest he will be a nuisance - but when he is older he could say he was there. What a great first game it would be too.
Not sure though at these prices though the tossers

Ah - I did not know about the tenner off. Suppose that softens the blow a bit but its still a rip

Unless you and your family all have season tickets you probably won't get a ticket anyway

Im not so sure mate. 35 000 is alot of tickets - most people will get one, and do we know for sure its 1 ticket per 1 season ticket ? It might be 2

I am afraid we are going to have to dig deep for tickets, food, ale, programmes etc. There's no better example of financial exploitation than these places in the modern era

Will it fuck be 2 for every 1 season ticket. We have over 20 000 season ticket holders so why on earth would the club let some get 2 and others get 0? Platinum and platinum plus members might be able to get more than 1, quite right too as their loyalty should be rewarded

At the playoff finals last season the concession prices (for under 16 and over 60s) were half the adult price. Can we hope that they'll do that for our game? Probably not.

In fact, I'm sure platinum plus members are limited to 500 so I think these fans should be able to get 4 or 5 tickets each. Their loyalty and support for the club should rewarded

Yes correct - just because you pay an extra £50 ! I looked at that and thought the only reason I would want it is the first dibs at away tickets - but I concluded that Blackpool would be the only game ill struggle. I might still get a ticket for Blackpool and this will justify my non payment of £50.
I am sorry but by joining this scheme it has nothing to do with loyalty - just how much you are prepared or can afford to spend.

Unless you and your family all have season tickets you probably won't get a ticket anyway How'd you come to that solution? 20,000 season ticket holders give or take a few thousand. Then you have the few thousand that weren't season ticket holders that will have West Ham ticket stubs (5,000?) Then you've got the supporters who cannot afford to go to every match due to other commitments and i'd have said we'd have about 8,000 tickets that will go to general sale. The final is a different matter altogether.

Yes, they have paid extra and should be rewarded. By your logic, it could be argued non season ticket holders should get same priority as season ticket holders because they shouldn't be penalised for not being able to afford a season ticket

I think for an extra £50 they should get first choice of the tickets but still only 1 like the rest of us.

Okay, platinum plus members should get extra tickets as they have paid extra and therefore deserve preferential treatment. Call it loyalty, don't call it loyalty, irrespective they deserve more and extra tickets are a fair and proportional reward for them.

By your logic, it could be argued non season ticket holders should get same priority as season ticket holders because they shouldn't be penalised for not being able to afford a season ticket The logical response would be that platinum plus members, platinum and also gold and silver members should be able to only get one ticket each, this is how I think the club will operate and if so they'll have done it the correct way. People who went the West Ham game should get priority over those of who didn't so will have to buy at general sale. By your logic, I could be a jonny-come-lately but enjoy watching Stoke, buy a season ticket and afford platinum plus, how is that showing loyalty? Loyalty is staying true to your football club through the rough and the smooth, NOT spending the earth to make it look as though you seem to be a loyal supporter.

Yes, they have paid extra and should be rewarded. So loyaltiy equates to how much you can afford to pay now? I had a season ticket 5 years on the bounce, but not this year. Should I not get a ticket?

Actually, just remembered that the club gave 200 of these platinum plus memberships to fans who went a high proportion of away games last season so in fact the 'rewarding loyalty' argument does carry weight

Tickets werent exactly going to be your average matchday prices were they?

If that's your thinking then thank god your name isn't Tony Scholes although I wouldn't put it past you.

Platinum plus memberships are no longer available so johnny come latelys cannot get them, therefore those who got them early in season are rewarded. Also, see my previous post about club giving circa 200 of these memberships away to loyal fans anyway

Old Trafford and Anfield aren't exactly £25-30 tickets are they? Seems fair to be honest and really from what I can see of the stadium plan there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the whole ground which can be nothing other than a good thing.

I spent £100 on Plat Plus for me and my 10 year old son, and I'm bloody delighted I did so.
l spent 5 x hours queuing up for a Chelsea ticket last season and lost more that £100 in business that day.
Its nothing to do with loyalty or being high and mighty, it just made practical sense to me.

i think we can argue all day about who should get what. I think the facts still remain that tickets will end up in the hands of people who have hardly been at all - all season. This always happens - you'll be sat with someone who will not have a clue who plays for who etc. I think we all have to accept this and just get on with it. At the end of the day you do what you have to do to get a ticket - and im sorry but if you miss out its just unlucky.

Yes, scholes has introduced a scheme to get more revenue for the club and one similar to numerous other premier league clubs. Also, is £50 extra amortised over the course of a season really such a lot of money? Circa £5.50 a month. Don't think so
