Anyone recall him turning down Matty Etherington a clear penalty at St James's Park earlier in the season? I wonder if that was on his mind when he awarded him a somewhat suspect penalty yesterday. ;D
Has to be said though, it was a shocking display by the officials from start to finish, with both teams being on the receiving end of some terrible decisions.

I must say, at the match i thought it was a nailed on peno, and was shocked to see on TV that Ethers 'went down easy' to say the least. Shows how hard the refs jobs are. However, how the linesman didn't spot that handball is beyond me.

I wasn't suprised at the 'soft' penalty decision. He's probably watched a replay of their goal and realised what a mistake he'd made and so evened things up early in the second half!

He was also the guy who sent Ric off for his slap on Griff.
