Seems like a great character to have around the place. I like how he winds people up then just laughs at them. When he just charged into DaCosta when he was right in the corner trying to shield the ball out. He just turned around and gave him a cheeky grin when DaCosta got back on his feet.
Super Jonny Walters

We look a better side with him up front, he is the only one of our strikers who move off the ball, I also think he brings the best out of our wingers

I posted yesterday what a wind up merchant he appears to be. I love the way he winds other players up. He got Parker into such a state that he probably needed Tramadol after the game ;D

What he lacks in quality he more than makes up for with enthusiam, he was a nightmare for the West Ham defence yesterday.

Absolute legend!!
He is brilliant to watch and he winds up the opposition players so much!!
He also is a fantastic asset to the club and his work rate is beyond brilliant!!!
He alone kept Parker quiet with his work rate alone, leaving Whelan and Delap to focus on Noble and Hitzelsberger... which they did well!!
His input should not be overlooked!!!

Walters had me in stitches at times yesterday, with Parker in particular repeatedly biting at him! He's fast on his way to becoming a cult hero.
I also think he really links up well with JP & Matty and with the ground he covers he takes the work load off the two centre mids who can sit and protect in the cage. With him playing in behind KJ or Carew and linking up with both wingers when they are fit we look perfectly set up in the modern 4-2-3-1 system.

He was fantastic yesterday at pressuring West Ham in their own half. He couldn't do it as much when he had to move onto the right and we looked weaker for it. It was like he was playing centre-mid and striker yesterday at the same time, he's got an unbelievable engine!

It's great to see a player who realises what an opportunity he has been given here at Stoke. He has plenty of spirit, courage and passion - and ran himself ragged for the team yesterday.
Well played Jon, you cheeky wind-up merchant you.

Cant fault his enthusiasm or commitment. But he is a very limited footballer who makes the most of what he has. He's a gobby wannabe scouser. Typical of them from birkenhead. Walters = Legend????............Jesus wept!

all i've heard from neutrals in my office today is how great Walters played, what a breath of fresh air he is, how annoying he must be to play against, and how his smile helps him get away with murder. he's ace, just admit it. you might like it

I reckon if he wasn't enjoying himself so much yesterday, he could have got Parker sent off; the poor boy was proper wound-up. He'll do for me. More of the same Jonny.

Cant fault his enthusiasm or commitment. But he is a very limited footballer who makes the most of what he has. And that I'm afraid is the truth even if you look at what people are claiming his supposed strengths are (winding players up, linking up with the wingers etc etc) Fuller is better at all of them and is also twice the footballer Walters will ever be. Next season whichever league we're in I'd be disappointed if he was in the starting XI.

If Pulis isn't going to play Fuller then, for the moment, Walters is our next best option alongside Carew or Jones.

christ, the lad played ok, but to say he's better than Fuller is based on Rioc playing 9 games out of 30, I presume?
<shakes head>
Scandalous how our best striker has been marginilised this season for what I presume are non-footballing issues.

I don't buy this hes a limited footballer bollocks. He's got a good touch, is good in the air, not particularly dangerous with the ball at his feet but he shows good movement and is a big threat from set pieces. He's a stoke tim cahill.
