I was sat behind the dugout and I think it was getting on towards the end of half time. I think everyone was expecting Fuller to come on after the toothless first half performance we put in, but lo and behold, he was quickly sent outside to kick a ball around with Shawcross and Dickinson. Shawcross and Dickinson were then standing in the dugout chatting when Simmo wanders over from the tunnel with a hot cup of tea in his hand. He looked to the pitch and noticed Fuller starting to make his way over. He seemed to enquire as to why Fuller was not in the dressing room changing into his stuff ready for the second half and there were lots of sideways glances, shrugging of shoulders and shaking of heads. Fuller came over and they asked him what the hell was going on. He just laughed in an unhappy fashion and gathered his stuff.
Or at least that was how I interpreted it all.

Even my missus asked why the hell he wasn't playing when I got back. Apparently even my mother-in-law passed comment about Ric's absence to the wifes dad as well, he told me today!!

The people came to see Ameobi and Fuller play together. He was a breath of fresh air when we eventually brought him on.

It was a ludicrous decision, we lost Liam through nobody's fault so what do we do? Leave our only other real attacking threat getting splinters in his arse for an hour ???

Why didn't he just put him on at half time? He was all ready to come on after forty-nine minutes but wasted the best part of ten minues before he came on because there wasn't a suitable time to make the sub. Why didn't he just throw him on at half-time giving us at leat ten extra minutes of our best and quickest player against a slow defence. Also, why does Pulis only ever make substitutions to put someone into the game for example Fuller and Bothroyd coming on which you can bet were planned substitutions which he was always going to make. He never makes substitutions to remove players who were struggling like Pugh who was getting skinned alive by Scott Sinclair last night when he had Dickinson, who would have defended better against him on the bench. What does it say to consistently high performing young players like Dickinson, Wilkinson and Shawcross when they are dropped in favour of players playing in their third-best position and making a bad job of it!

should have put fuller on straight away for 30-45 mins. let him create a couple of early goals and kill the game off. then sub him if he was really ill ;-)

Did anyone else notice the 'half time draw' bloke go to Fuller, presumably to ask him to do the draw ? Following Fuller's answer, the bloke then went to Shawcross, who did it.
