Impressed by this lad at fullback and even before today i couldn't understand the flack that he was taking.
Took a knock in the first half, signalled to the bench but thankfully he ran it off.
Take a bow sir and long may it continue, infact everyone take a bow because you were all immense.

His best showing so far, tazi.
Couldn't fault him today.
(By the way how much better do we look at the back for having Higgy there?)

Did well today, if only he had wilkos pace, he would be even better

He played well and for me he'll be a great asset in the coming years and we got an incite into the range of passing with that great ball out to Pennant 2nd half which Bridge just headed out for a corner.

Agree....
Looks comfortable on the ball if he has the room to play, bit wank in a dogfight but he warrants a place at full back as long as he defends well first and foremost.
Another plus point from a very good day!!!!!!

Good shout.
played very well and Higgy on the left was immense and i will say it again he is always a threat from corners free kicks etc etc and obviously the odd free kick and pen as well because collins and pugh are only a threat to our goal only.

Played well today.
He isn't as good in the tackle as Wilko, but his passing is better.
Overall I still prefer Wilko, but the difference is nowhere nearly as great as that between Higgy and Pugh, or Collins for that matter, on the opposite side.

Just good to have somebody in defence who doesn't lump it every time they get a touch!

Credit where it is due. He played very well today as did Walters, both of whom are players that I don't think should be anywhere near our starting 11 on a consistent basis.
Fair play to them both in what was a pretty convincing win apart from the final scoreline I thought.

I thought we showed real balance and control in the full-back positions, Higgy was top drawer and Wilson showed good composure, good touch and a range of passing. Definitely growing into the role and way less likely to pick up silly booking and lose his cool then Wilko.
Agree too, I thought Walters was really good today.

Look a much much more solid as a unit with Higgi at left back.
Davejohnno.
Walters is a really good player, quick feet and with just enough pace to keep defenders on their toes.

I don't agree Tazi. From what I have seen of him to date, he is pretty talentless without either the pace or trickery to trouble any centre half in this division.
He played very well today though and I am always happy to be proven wrong or to give credit where it is due.

Those of you who think Wilko is a better right back must be blind! Wilko is not bad at defending (at home), but as long as he gives the ball away almost every time he wins it I really can't see Wilko as competition to Wilson.

Opinions indeed.
My first impressions of Walters, v Spurs, Chelsea away and Shrewsbury in the Cup were good to be fair but since then I have realised how poor he actually is.
Today he played very well. I have been more impressed with him when he has come on as sub to be honest and would rather that be his consistent role in our team.
There will be no complaints from me if his performance today is par for the rest of the season.

good today shite last week , he needs to be tougher to go with his undoubted talent, once he adds bottle to his game he has the potential to be a good player.

I don't know, even when he doesn't make a game changing mistake, it feels like there's one brewing, a bit like Collins-lite.

thought he was positionally very poor in the first half. Him and Pennant seemed to have no understanding of who was supposed to be marking who and kept leaving men to drift into space on that side.
I assume Tony had a word at half time as they seemed much tighter second half.

For me, this is our best team by a country mile. Its pretty much been settled since the West Ham quarter final game (apart from Thomas) Doesn't it make a difference if you can put out a settled side. Hope TP can keep them together cuz we may well win the cup as well as cement our place in the prem.
