Just been reading other message boards, and thats what others are saying
" booing off there team at half time when they need them most and 2nd in the league, they dont derserve go up"
" the thick stoke ***** have just booed, off there team, when there 2nd in the league, they should be in our shoes "
"15k at home for someone who can go top is a joke for them, not to mention the boo's and jeers, at half time"
WELL I AGREE WITH THEM.

How can you expect fans to be satisfied with that 1st half performance, we let the lads know who appauling their first half was - a kick up the backside as it were. Not as though we boo every game but when we all know that they can achieve so much more they need telling. They should be playing their hearts out every match for the fans and themselves, not reverting to hoof ball, as i'm certain we looked shocking on TV and gave the pundits/other clubs a real reason to call us a team who cannot play football and just lump the ball aimlessly up field

15, 000 was disgraceful. You could tell Pulis wasn't happy with it on his post match interview with Nige.
The booing really pisses me off. Against Scunthorpe 2 stupid bastards infront of me booed the team off and shouted "Pulis Out!" and then in the second half sung "E I E I E I OO, Up the football league we go, when we get promotion this is what we'll sing, we are city, super city, Pulis is our king!" MADNESS!!!
No need for all thsi booing.

All fans are the same and react, broadly speaking, almost identically to things.
It's easy to be holier-than-thou when the things aren't happening to your team at that moment.
I always react to criticisms of certain supports with a shrug of the shoulders.
There but for the Grace of God go Stoke City - and the same applies to the kind of bull other fans write about us

What a great thread title ..... NOT!
Who cares what other people think of us?
We pay our money and we're entitled to our opinions.
I don't boo, I never have, but I understand WHY others do.

2nd in the league or not - 7 points out of a possible 24 and the performances to boot hardly inspire or encourage

Our fans have had to watch **** for the last eight or so games, if we are being brutally honest. 8 points out of the last 24 is relegation form, not promotion form. Even Vale have done better over the same period. And I still think one of the main reasons is down to a grossly out of form full back, who is never a captain in a month of Sundays and the sooner Pulis realises and accepts it the better. This coupled with blind loyalty to other non performers as well, is costing us dear. I'll never stop supporting Stoke but we have not half "scored" some real own goals of late. Come on Tony, swallow your pride before it's too late and start making some tough decisions, or we all suffer the consequences.

Irrespective of where we are in the league, 2-0 down at home to Palace at half time is not good enough. That is why some people booed. Also think many of the people who booed were just frustrated at how many chances we need to take this league by the scruff of the neck, not necessarily at how badly we played.

Our fans were disgusting last night, as soon as we went 1-0 down the fans got on the players' backs. Pearson made one poor ball and the whole of the seddon stand are telling him how hes fucking wank etc etc. It's his home fucking debut, he makes one mistake, so instead of encourage him he gets told he's wank.
Really going to inspire him to go on and create something special isn't it?
Booing does not help, and it should not be happening. SUPPORT them, don't fucking boo them!

The booing was directed at Pulis not the players (for the record I didn't boo) and I can understand why they did it. TP picked the wrong team and fucked up it's that simple. As for other fan's who gives a fuck? I don't.

Some of our fans are so fickle! Met this bloke in the pub after the match last night who could do nothing but moan! ANother bloke was threatening to burn his season ticket as we walked up the path towards the harvester.... and I wonder why i prefer away matches!!

Our fans were disgusting last night, No they weren't. Ever thought that being 2nd in the league we expect better than some of that dross served up in the first half. When someone like Ameobi is being paid £25000 a week and costing this club an absolute bomb, then I think we are well within our rights to let them know what we think of them when they look lazy and disinterested.

Ye but how does booing help?
Why not get behind them?
It might spur them on to do well

I agree, our fans are a fucking disgrace, knock the team confidence even, more by booing them off.

Ye but how does booing help? Why not get behind them? It might spur them on to do well You're right booing doesn't help. I did boo at half time last night and I'm not proud of it at all, it was just a way to vent my frustration at how we've thrown away yet another golden chance to push us towards the Premier League. As jacksscfc says, the booing was directed towards Pulis' team selection and how it backfired. That is what annoyed me the most.

One tends to agree with you 23. Our fans are rather disappointing to say the least. They only sing two songs thats when they can be bothered to sing at all.

Well said Tone - I agree. To be honest, I missed the booing, as I was buisy on a rant about the useless tactics we had employed and how the second goal was inevitable. I think that directing ones anger at the manager is perfectly acceptable, and I don't buy this idea that the crowds reaction has a major effect on team performance, but once the team crosses the line the mamager has none. If thats the case all teams should sack their managers and fill the stadium with cheerleaders.
