I remember a 3-1 home loss to Northampton a couple of years later. Kristianson let a 40yarder through his legs. It is memories like these that prevent me from ever becoming a PHW. +1 Also add the 7-0 thumping by Brum

Could be wrong but I think we drew that game 1-1. ''Stoke (0) 1 Northampton (0) 1 Stoke: Kristinsson, Hansson, Mohan, Gunnarsson, Gudjonsson, Kavanagh, Thorne (Dadason 72), Dorigo (Goodfellow 83), O'Connor, Thomas, Cooke. Subs Not Used: Clarke, Risom, Muggleton. Booked: Thorne, O'Connor. Goals: Cooke 59. Northampton: Welch, Green, Spedding, Sampson, Hope, Forrester, Savage, Hargreaves, Gabbiadini (Howard 71), Hunt, Frain. Subs Not Used: Ferguson, Canoville, Hodge, Sollitt. Booked: Gabbiadini. Goals: Howard 74. Att: 13,235 Ref: S Mathieson (Stockport).''

That 2-0 defeat at Millwall too when they had 9 men. Could be wrong but didn't they go down to 9 men at 0-0 too? Shocking day. Think that has to be the worst game i have ever been, how some of those players got a game is beyond me (lee collins and bryan small), those were the days

Yeah this really does show how far we've come, and puts the ridiculous fatalism of some stokies at the moment into perspective. I remember going into those home games the whole 2nd half of the season not being at all surprised when we'd concede 3 or 4.
I'm sure Brian Small used to be nicknamed Disco, can't remember why though?

Then we went and signed Lee Collins on the Friday, I got roped into it and witnessed the most inept Stoke performace I think I've ever seen.

That Milwall game, together with the defeat at Wigan that signalled the end of Bally's reign at Stoke are the two lowest points that I can recall in my Stoke supporting life.
That Milwall game often gets a mention. 9 Men and they absolutely murdered us and as Prestwich says, we only went to that game because we signed Lee Collins.
He wasn't roped into going though...he was the one doing the roping and it was his idea that we wouldn't go unless we signed someone. When we did, it was 5 of us to Milwall. In those days, it was a "risk your life" trip as well.
Happy days!

the bristol rovers debacle seems like yesterday to me
i got a seat in the JS stand just so i could go to Keith Humphreys and give him what for. At half time I went over to him and gave him a peace of my mind, face to face, and for some reason threw all my pennies at him. I was promptly kicked out
dark days!

Can remember this well think it was kids for a quid and was a decent crowd. Went to nearly every game home and away pre-Christmas then hardly anywhere after new year god we were awful, Oldfield, Petty, Disco Brian Small agree with previous posters people who moan about the current situation need get a reality check! Rovers murdered us Cureton and Roberts were a class act there was a pitch invasion after the game I remember I was on, is it just my memory or was this the game someone alledgedly gave Lightbourne a slap on the pitch? Remember Bristol bought a bit of a mob with them that day there were fun and games after with a lot of Stoke pissed off our season had really ended that day.

Was this Bristol Rovers game the one where someone smacked Kyle Lightbulb?
