Impossible to say and whilst what we've spent is astronomical for us it's still not that outlandish in terms of the division.

There are some managers who, if given our warchest, would have us damn near up by now.
There are also a lot of others who would have us near the bottom of the league if they had 100 million to spend.
Overall, Pulis could have done a lot better with the resources he started the season with, and the money that he's had to spend. This has been a once in a lifetime season in terms of the transfer kitty, and we really could have done with him doing more than just OK in terms of how he's spent it, and more importantly how he's utilised what he's purchased.

I seem to remember Wolves spending gazillions a few years back in an attempt to buy their way out of the division.
Did them no good at all.
Warnock is the perfect Manager to get a team out of this division. Give him a few quid and he will buy correctly. It's when he is in the Prem that his limitations are found out and the same will apply to our Tone. If he gets us up of course.

You can spend all the money you want but , if the players you sign are sat on the bench, they can't really influence owt

Do us a favour, after that pitiful display by Colin's team last night? Got to be the flukiest win of all time. They could have had two sent off with the bent ref determined not to book anyone let alone send them off for innumerable foot up challenges.

slangking, Don't embarrass us mate, we lost fair and square. I felt no injustice at all after that 90 minutes apart from feeling short changed by Ric only having a cameo role.

Pulis has, in the past, been heavily criticised for 'wasting' the 'big' money he has been given.
Now, whilst he has an eye for a certain type of player, it does seem history is repeating itself as -
Cort - Masssive waste of money for me - Not a 'proper' centre half Pugh - Shit and a panic buy Griff - BIG let down Whelan - Good footballer but wasted in a TP team Shola - V.expensive gamble
In some ways, arguably the jury is also out on Shawcross as he isnt getting a game at the mo although I do beleive he is on for the future. Add to this list the likes of De Laet and Phillips and you are starting to look at a hell of a lot of money being spent on very average players who have not lived up to expectation levels.

Sorry, but Colin has no credibility whatsoever, just think that laughable game Sheff.U vs Wigan, they need a draw at home and get beat! This was a similar game they deserved 5-1, no chance of the play-offs but if they do I hope to God we get them, free pass to Wembley.

To be honest a lot of the expenditure seems to have been made in the last few weeks and theres no time for bedding in.
Imagine the pressure on Ameobi to score in each game. Perhaps the expectancy of immediate success affects the performances of those that have joined us.
It seems to me that we started going downhill as soon as the suspensions and injuries kicked in.
I though Whelan was awesome last 30 mins yesterday so we know what he can do now. Imagine what he will do when hes had a full pre season etc.
Bothroyd seemed to be lively last night too. It just needs something to go right for a change but has time caught up with us?

Sorry you've lost me, I fail to see what a game he was manager in, involving two different teams in a different division has to do with the fact that he had a sensible game plan, took advantage of our selection mistakes and got his side into a winning position that they managed to hang on to. I'm no fan of Colin but you have to give credit where it's due in the same way as I credit our effforts in the second half (even though it started about 55 minutes late!)

Pulis is one of the best half dozen managers in the Champ and we'll finish Top 6, beyond that it's just too hypothetical to say if Colin or anyone else might have got us up already. TP is on a poor spell right now but no-one could live with us a couple of months ago, you've got to average it out over the season. But, and it's a big but, he's flailing around and not finding the extra gear when we need it. So far.

Give it a rest, they have a couple of shots on target and defend for the rest of the match, I don't notice anyone praising Pulis when this happens when we play, the thing is we are NEVER that defensive under Pulis. All he did was say to his players that they are shiite so should defend for the whole of the 2nd half, hardly what you would call 'inspired' is it?

hope you're having a laugh mister...
coz that pitiful team cut through our defence like a knife through butter, it was only their inexperience that stopped a rout.

slanking, we'll agree to disagree, I think you are defending your cause stoutly but I think you're defending it against the wrong person. I'm not a massive "anti" or whatever term is "in" nowadays but I can still comment and recognise when a team go away from home, perform very well and despite your statements have more shots at goal than we did.
