I was at the ground today (about 12 oclock) to renew my season ticket (got my West Ham ticket at the West Brom game), and I must say that I thought it was very quiet indeed, in fact hardly anyone there. I was expecting to find a lot of people buying both early bird season tickets and cup tickets. That tells me that people are hardly breaking their necks to buy the tickets.

Mr block 19 row 30 I was simply stating the reason why we are not selling for this game and one reason is that we are dire at the moment and money is tight for many people. I go home and away and ave done for years so that gives me the right to say we are shut at the moment.this does not make me a bad supporter

Got my tickets yesterday.
Was shocked when I asked "Got 4 together anywhere?"
and the guy replied:
"yeah, no problem, where abouts do you want to sit?"
There looked like a lot of odd ones and two's empty all over!!

Is it just me that finds this 'we're playing badly' argument a bit bizarre when taking into account the fact that we're in the FA Cup quarter final?

For a club like us, winnable home FA Cup Q-Fs are as rare as hen's teeth.
I can't get my head 'round it not being a must-attend fixture.
I came out of my post-West Ham depression in midweek, and have now got full-blown cup fever.

Thank you very much kind sir ;D Bit disappointing that, just a reflection of our fan base I suppose You should not beat yourself up too much about it. Pretty much most teams struggle to sell out for Cup games now. The official figure for the Cup Semi against Birmingham showed that West Ham sold out. I was there that night and there were 1000's of empty seats. Like Stoke, we have not been blessed with years of recent success, so I would have expected to sell out. We do have a great away support, but if this game goes to a replay, I think we will struggle to sell tickets. Sadly the Cup is not wot it woz

Reminds me of our League Cup Quarter Final against Derby a few years ago..Derby sold 4,800 but we only managed about 17,000 Never forget being at the Ground to buy tickets and there were two ques..one massive long one..and one tiny little one.. Guess which was the que for Stoke v Man Utd tickets? All these Stokies who can only get to watch Stoke when they play Man U or Chelsea/Liverpool etc etc I'E; the ones not going on sundee

They tend to release one set of figures on the day...so they appear in the Newspaper...and a few days later this figure changes. There was only 24,000 at the Burnley Game. There is no way in hell we would sell out a replay.

It's on terrestrial TV, people are skint. Jesus there are some judgemental people on here. It will be a sell out bar about 1,000 - I'll hazard a guess there's about 5/6,000 more than at Birmingham v Bolton. Be a great atmosphere and hopefully a great cup tie...............

the only real answer to all of this is this:
if we don't sell out on Sunday, it is truly small-time sh**. Utter sh**.
we have to shift 23k for a cup quarter final and can't do it? Wonder no more why the corners don't get filled in.
and that is respecting the circumstances of everyone who can't go but normally does. It has more to say about the lack of love for sport/their city's premier club, that many folk in the Potteries have.
Surely we have thousands who would don't get to watch us who would jump at the chance to see us on the cheap in one of the biggest games in our long history?

Surely we have thousands who would don't get to watch us who would jump at the chance to see us on the cheap in one of the biggest games in our long history? It is utterly baffling isn't it! As soon as the draw was made it had the feel of a "5,000 locked out" sort of match to me. There are loads of season ticket holders where I work and everyone was super-excited on the Monday after the draw. I also have family members who keep an eye on results but rarely venture to the ground, asking me about ticket arrangements and there is the spine-tingling reality that we suddenly have a GENUINE chance of writing our names on one of the most famous trophies in world football. Aside from the obvious problem of current tactics, form and the FA Cup losing some of it's former glamour, I have to say I'm really shocked at the apparent apathy. I'm sure there was more excitement in the city during our last Autowindscreens cup run!!

Well out 7 of us who go every game.only two are attending tomorow, strange thing is these arent Johny come latelies but lads who have going forever since the 70s.
The reason most used is they are coming home from games having not enjoyed what Pulis is doing and feeling unhappy and frustrated.
For me it was a comibination of this and family issues.
Whatever its a free world and all these lads are season ticket holders and i know they have all renewed for next season.Persoanlly i think we will lose a couple of thousand season ticket holders next season.
Whaever if this is a wholesale view then the club need to start listening toi the supporters.
