On a more positive note, I thought Boothroyd looked a class player lads night some fantastic touches, and superb placed short crosses, good movement off the ball. The only fly in the ointment is wolves calling him back if we're both in the playoffs. Mick McCarthy said he could only come to stoke in the first place because wolves and stoke were so far apart on points diff in the league it didnt affect them !!

I think Coventry will prove to be his last game (if he gets on the sodding pitch)
McCarthy will surely recall him as soon as his month's up now we're potentially direct competitors for a play-off spot.

It looks like it's up to us whether to extend it to the end of the season, and McCarthy can't/won;t call him back after his initial month? Bothroyd unable to face club
jay.jpgMick McCarthy has moved to allay fears Jay Bothroyd could play against Wolves in the play-offs.
Fans feared the striker, currently on loan at promotion-chasing rivals Stoke, may be allowed to play against his parent club if they meet in the end of season showpiece.
But manager McCarthy laughed off any prospect of that scenario happening.
Bothroyd’s initial spell at the Britannia Stadium is due to expire on Friday, although Stoke have the option of extending it to 93 days.
“If Stoke end up in the play-offs and we played them it’s quite clear he wouldn’t be playing,” said McCarthy.

Bothroyd should certainly start every game for us! He, Fuller, Larwrence and Pearson should start every game if they were available. These players are different class and able to create things. Thought Delap did well too yesterday.
