I have to presume that both WBA and Watford will take their chance's and beat Blackpool and Barnsley. On Saturday I expect Bristol City to beat Wolves and Hull to beat QPR while WBA and Watford will share the points. To stay within touching distance we have to win. If we manage it we would be 3rd on goal difference with Bristol top by a point. WBA and Hull would be 4 and 5th tied on 71 points but with a game in hand. Their games in hand are both away derbies at Wolves and Barnsley respectively, I expect 1 of them will slip up at that point. If we lose to Coventry then I anticipate that the gap to 7th will have been closed to 4 points and we will be sweating even making the play-offs. No more excuses, no more bizarre selections, no more favourite players, no more square pegs in round holes, its very simple play the best available team, drop whoever needs dropping including the Captain if its deemed necessary, no more defensive tactics, it really is win or bust at the last chance saloon

Out of all our remaining games (and I really fancied us last night), Coventry away is the one that I feel is a real banana skin.
They've conceded just one goal at home since Coleman took over (and that was in a 3-1 win) and by all accounts they gave Watford a hell of a game last week. We're going into the game with no real form either.
Along with Bristol City, they remain the only team that can do a league double over us this season and though that's something that hasn't happened since TP's return, it's going to happen some time isn't it.
It's got all the ingredients for a really bad day for us...big following...must win game...opponents battling against relegation...
I pray I'm wrong and we come away with the three points, but I'm not confident at all about this game.

Cheers Dave
I was depressed enough as it was.
Now I think I will send our Coventry tickets back and not bother with the heartache!

As long as Ameobi stays at the Brit on matchday, we'll have a chance.

I take comfort in the fact that when we expect not to get something from a game we usually do, but the flip side, like last night, is that when we expect to get something, we usually don't. I don't expect us to get anything from the cov game

Bizarre as it is, maybe last nights defeat has actually lifted some of the pressure on Pulis and the club. The fans are now re-focusing on the play-offs and with the majority of the required points in the bag we only require 4 points to be certain. That said, 2 more defeats against Coventry and Bristol and the pressure just to make the play-offs returns in spades. The problem we may have is that Pulis knows this and may happily take a point from both the Coventry and Bristol games, securing the play-offs but killing any remote chance of auto

We've looked tired and out of sorts in the first half last night, and to be honest we've looked the same for last few weeks, Probably the last really good performance was the second half against Scunthorpe. I left the ground feeling utterly miserable and dejected, and if truth be told probably cost me a nights sleep because we have I feel blown a big opportunity to get in to the promised land.
I've got my tickets for Coventry, but I can't see us getting much out of that either. If the other teams win their games in hand then we are down to fourth and doomed to the play offs. The play off's are a lottery, generally it's the team that have momentum and energy which tend to get through those, we don't seem to have either at the moment

Until last night i really thought we would go up automaticly this season. It was no better than what we were all witnessing in Pulis' first time at the club last night. What the hell does he see in Sidibe? Why does he persist in playing Griffin & Cresswell. Why does he keep comoing out with the same bollocks about how the team worked hard & "i caaarnt fault there commitment". When will he have the balls to read the riot act to them and make it clear that actually performences like this are not acceptable at this important stage. We have let a bloody good position slip away over the last month. Whacking the ball up to Sidibe doesn't work Pulis FFS can't you see it?

Despite all thats been said though, it's not all doom and gloom.
Given the right results we might still go up automatically
After last night I doubt it..but who knows?
