It's not nice seeing someone under enormous pressure who knows that it's all falling apart but hasn't the ability to rectify the situation. And meanwhile in the background his support staff look on giving nothing............. He bears all the hallmarks of a man on the verge of a breakdown. His post match interviews becoming more and more bizarre and detached from reality.......

He always struck me as someone who handled the pressure at the other end of the table quite well but I suppose there's a bit of a difference between making a silk wotsname out of a sows thingy and blowing the clubs biggest transfer kitty in its history.

Can you explain this comment Mr Daftburger?
"We were unlucky tonight, chances that were going in two weeks ago, weren't going in tonight"
Or words to that effect!

I wouldn't want to see him have a breakdown, as much as I loathe his tactic and lack of managerial skill. I wouldn't mind seeing him admit responsibility for once though.

We haven't been particularly lucky of late but we had a decent slice of luck earlier in the season getting poits out of games we shouldn't have.
One thing I don't buy though is that luck evens itself out throughout a season, if that's the case we should get about 6 penalties in the last 4 games because that's how many blatant ones we've been denied.

to be fair Palace had an advantage over us, half their team probably got a day off school where as ours had to train in the morning the most worrying thing is that Pulis seems to see making the play offs as success despite all the resources he has had.

I wouldn’t feel sorry for him, he’s in a privileged position as a football manager. Yes, of course there’s pressure but that’s part and parcel of the job that he accepted.
He probably gets paid a lot more than the average Joe or nurses/doctors/policemen/firemen etc.

I don't know about Pulis having a break down.........I know I am close to one!!
All I seem to be doing is watching the Oatcake all day incase something changes....
....But Pulis did look like a broken man on Sky last night, looked really pissed off and red eyed.....

It's all about doing your homework about the opposition really. How he could think the likes of Pugh could handle Sinclair is a fucking mystery, and how many times does Griff have to be dragged out of position before TP realises that it is not his best position? It's a real choker, especially considering the players he actually has available. Still it's not over until MCF sings.

Can you explain this comment Mr Daftburger? "We were unlucky tonight, chances that were going in two weeks ago, weren't going in tonight" Or words to that effect! You make your own luck. If you base your luck on fairground tombola practices of hoping that for every 10 hoops you throw at the box you win one prize you're not going to win every time. In fact it's too hit and miss. Were Palace unlucky to not score another? Sheiky I fear you are right. The pressure at the top, where more than one tactic is needed may be beyond Mr Pulis. Perhaps the pressure is greater because of the money spent. Perhaps Coates has given him an ultimatum? Who knows? All I know is that he looked lost last night. Him and Kemp standing there both seemingly waiting for the another to come up with a solution but both remained silent!

Personally, i think we need a new director of footie, or senior coach.
If we are to keep Pulis, he needs a wise head next to him that has been there done that, at the highest level. He needs counsel, he needs someone to tell him he is wrong.. some one he will listen to

Sorry Alan but it still makes me sick that he was getting paid full wedge while on gardening leave. If anyone is overpaid at the club it's him. As for his hotline, he can ram that up his arse, I for one don't buy it.

followyoudown, you comment (about their "schoolkids") made me laugh, and believe me, that isn't easy, this morning.
Yes, two kids ran us ragged, helped, of course, by Morrison, their Big Man up front. (Oops. forgot that only SCFC has big players.)
How I'd love that sort of system, the pace, the freshness, the spontaneity. All credit to Warnock, I'm afraid.
The most worrying thing about TP at the moment, apart from his tactical stubbornness, is that he is transmitting his negatives - Blackpool's late arrival interfering with our ( but not their,) readiness and our constant lack of luck - to our players.
Before this dreadful run, we had scored ten goals in six days, despite having had our nerves fully tested against Wolves, Saints and Scunny. If criticised for being negative while winning, many of us saw the danger signs then.

What goes around comes around. I thought TFP was out of order* when he said he'd send Jamie Cureton a bottle of champagne at the end of the season for missing that last-minute sitter at Norwich. We had a bit of luck that day, though I don't remember Pulis mentioning it. * to be fair, I always think that

hes done a great job getting us where we are ,but its difficult to synpathise with someone who has Fuller and Bothroyd to choose from and selects Sidibe, ive commented a dozen times on Sidibe and i still cannot see why he gets selected never mind aplauded from the pitch.
