Well here we are children, MATCHDAY ;D ;D
Let's just go all out and have a go, we have nothing to lose but everything to gain...a defensively fuelled 0-0 won't do but i suspect, at best, it's what we'll get!!
Please, please let's have a second half v Arsenal display and if we lose...well...we won't if we go blood and thunder!!
GOARNNNNN STOKE!!!

Maybe if we picked up even just a point the doom mongers would shut up about relegation.
Wow, a pig has just flown past the window

I work with a few Hammers who are season ticket holders and they would happily swap a win in the cup for the 3 pts today.
Talking to them over the season so far and last season they have been convinced that Grant was goin to take them down...and he still might....but they have discovered some form and confidence of late and we'll do well to pick up the 3 points today. I'd settle for a scrappy draw and knock em out the FA Cup at the Brit.

A draw today would be a magnificant result today though we'll only get one if we have a go. If we defewnd from the start we'll lose because as they put pressure on us there confidence will grow and a goal will be inevitable. We have to have a go if he starts with Diao he needs sectioning. He's slow, Will be lucky to stay on the pitch and is not motch fit. I just hope Matty and JP are fit otherwise it'll be a long day. Given the way they play I'd be tempted to play Carew on his own up front with JP and Ethers in withdrawn roles just behind him with Delap, Whitehead and Wilson in midfield and Wilko and Higgy at fullback. Ric on for the last 30 to shake em up. Sadly I think it will be
Bego
Wilson Huth Ryan Pugh
Delap Diao Whitehead Walters
KJ Carew
If it's anything like the team above I despair and we can guarantee another narrow but comfortable defeat.

That midfield would have comedy value, if nothing else. But I'm sure he'll risk Pennant, but probably not Etherington. Surely Wilson or Pugh would be a better bet than Salif, given the other options at his disposal that could do a job at full-back.

Well the odds look truly stacked against us today... West Ham looking the form team, us playing poorly... Supporters criticising and barracking Tony for breathing... Only one thing for it surely?
Stoke win.

West Brazil winning today has put the cat among the pigeons at the bottom now, it's shaken things up quite a bit now. A point today would be great now and puit us 6 or 7 points clear of the relegation zone with 10 games left.

With this line-up, I think a defeat today could tip peoples' tolerance of Pulis over the edge.
If we somehow scrape a result (even a boring 0-0) then it'll keep the worst of the criticism at bay and will keep us out of immediate relegation danger for a week or two at least.
