Whelan the only thing he’s done since he arrived is score tonight, he was shocking tonight apart from his goal. Ameobi £25k a week for a slower (although slightly more skilful) version of Sidibe. Griffin proper rubbish and not just in this game, he’s been consistently rubbish since he came back from Derby, although to be fair he was slightly less rubbish in the second half. Pugh he’s not a left back for goodness sake! Sidibe what total rubbish on par with Keith Scott, flicks on to no one gets out jumped by midgets and falls over like Bambi on wet ice, has no idea what to do with the ball when he gets it and couldn’t hit an elephants arse with a double bass! Riggott why are we paying another wage when he’s no better than our million pound youngster? Cresswell is no left or right winger we have players better suited to these roles and far better in the positions. Pulis why oh why don’t you just swallow any pride you have and play your strongest team in their correct positions? (I think we all already know the answer to that).

I agree with everything apart from the Riggott comment, as i think he's looked pretty good since arriving.
Nevertheless I'd bring in Shawcross to partner him, rather than pick Cort.

I've posted before that I've been disappointed with Whelan since his arrival and last night he had his worst game in a Stoke shirt. Yes his goal was a great strike but one kick of the ball just isn't enough and he needs to improve a hell of a lot.

Even if we manage to get a play-off spot I will not be confident. I am losing faith with TP big style.
Can everyone remember TP's Gillingham in the play-off final against Man City in 1999? Two late goals for Gillingham to put them 2-0 up with a few minutes remaining and yet Man City score goals in the 89 and 90 minute. Man City go on to win the play-off final with penalties.

Spidey, for the second time today I agree with you (on most counts) I think Riggot has played well but I do agree that Shawcross and Cort should be kept together and Riggot used for injury's suspension's etc.
Dicko has not put a foot wrong all season and TP keeps playing Pugh out of position WHY? Same with Creswell a striker who is in double figures and TP keeps playing him out of position to accommodate Sidibe WHY?
Can't understand it only TP knows why he plays his players out of position.
Lets hope TP has a re-think before the weekend and we go on to win our last 4 to give us a slight chance of automatic promotion.

I agree with pretty much all of that, too many players out of position such as Griff and Cresswell

I've been talking like this since Pulis got back to Stoke. But, the trouble with all this logical disemination of the facts is that we are in second place. I have to say most things he does utterly baffle me, but we are doing better then we have done for years and statistically, if we win our remaining matches we will be promoted.
I too can think of lots of reasons why Pulis will fail, but we are nevertheless succeeding by most standards.
You need to step back a bit and stop thinking about it, it does your brain in. Just keep going along and making lots of encouraging noises, the rest of it doesn't make any sense at all.

whelans look ok since he came but remember he was asked to play a more forward and attacking game at sheff wed. At stoke our 2 central midfielders sit basically in centre spot and dont attack much at all. Why sign a player of his ability and use him as a holding player along side Rory????

He will fail because he is quite simply an unintelligent, stubborn man totally out of his depth with a team in the top half of the division. He would be of far more use to the Fail, where he could save them from relegation on a regular basis and be portrayed as a God in the process by the more brain dead fans. I still find it amazing that anyone could think differently.
