TfL website: www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/track.aspx?offset=weekendMap: maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=E13+9AX&wrapid=tlif129919403662710&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wlWest Ham is about the same distance as Canning Town as the crow flies, but I think its a more straightforward walk from the latter. Note that there is only tube to West Ham these days - the former train line is being converted to DLR and is still closed. I think the various posters have covered most of the alternatives. I reckon the main ones are.. - Jubilee to Canning Town, then long walk or maybe bus - train, Central or Jubilee to Stratford, then bus (or long walk) - this is the TfL advertised alternative route - it says it will take 1 hour from Euston (so reckon on a lot longer!) - train to Forest Gate, then not-so-long walk (probably most convenient for the away end, which is the NE corner of the ground) - District line & replacement buses (I'm assuming there will be some, but expect pandemonium) There is also London Overground to Wanstead Park, which is close to Forest Gate so its walkable. This may be worth thinking about for Euston. Get the Victoria line to Blackhorse Road and change there. It says 37mins station to station which is not bad (again, allow longer as the TfL website times are notoriously optimistic). May not be very frequent trains on this line though (looks like one every 15 mins). Not tried this route myself, but maybe another one to consider. For those looking to get back to Euston for 1845 - you are really going to have to go some! And the really annoying thing for me about this is I can see the ground from my office every day - but that won't help me on Saturday! (ok, I admit that I'm on the 27th floor and I can see most of London anyway)

Docklands ligh railway ( dlr ) goes to Stratford & canning town if the tube is really playing up. Catch it from bank station. walking from canning town myself but will be a tasty walk after the match.

There is now some advice on the SCFC website (nothing that contradicts anything I said before - but I'm not convinced that West Ham tube is only 20 mins wallk). www.stokecityfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10310~2306064,00.html

some of u who are thinking of GETTIN a bus forget it... romford road / green street / barking road is a nightmare and u amy as well walk... as i pointed out train from liverpool street to forest gate is an option then the walk... IF PARKING again try and park north of romford road ie wantstead flats / forest gate area.. its easier to get back to a12 after... if your driving come down a14 / m11 straight onto north circular leave at redbridge roundabout ( A12 ) HEAD towards leytonstone , hackney come off at 1ST exit ( wanstead ) at lights go straight ax ( tube station should be on left and a green facing u ) go approx 400 yards ( set of lights ) turn left this road will take u straight down to wanstead flats and forest gate.. come back same way in reverse if u go this route... DO NOT stay on north circular and attempt to get down romford road from ilford turnoff or barking road from barking turn off.. good luck hope u beat the spammers..

Potterglen, Are you going/driving down? I'm planning on parking up at that hotel you recommended so if I get clamped or towed away, expect a vicious pm from me next week ;D Eshh, we check for signs before we parked and had no problems so see no reason why you should.
