The contrast with Palace tonight really highlighted the lack of pace and invention in our starting line-up. Why on earth do we persist with Cresswell playing out wide. I felt quite sorry for him tonight trying to find the space to whip in a cross - not a chance with his pace. His only chance would be if he cam up against a full back as slow as Griffin. And as for MOTM?!!!
Plus our wide players unfortunately are rarely wide at all. We need more width more often.
Ameobi has shown a truly disappointing lack of dynamism for the money he is costing. It makes you wonder what research we did into his current form before getting out Peter's cheque book.
Fuller, even with an alleged virus, made Ameobi look like a sloath.
Tony Pulis - for once, please show some courage, forget your favourites and pick according to form. Griff out. Wilko and Dicko for full back as a start. Bothroyd instead of Cresswell and start with Fuller and Sidibe. Stick Ameobi on the bench and show him that you have to put the effort in to get a place in the starting eleven, even in the CCC.
Oh, and Tone, FFS, never pull everyone back to defend corners and free-kicks. We hate it and it doesn't work does it?
