Pumping the ball up towards tall strikers and a prepared defensive line will not win us ANY games - as proved by the last 4. Only Ricardo Fuller in his 1st minute showed what can be created when you take on defenders with the ball ON THE GROUND. What's the point in losing (or gambling) possession by hoofing it up from the half way line towards someone's head or chest, when there's nobody to pass to from there? OK, Mama can hold a ball up, then fall on his arse. Ameobi is too expensive to spend the game on his arse. Cresswell on the left wing is like my arse. Where's Soulyman Oulare's arse when you need it? OK, we missed Liam and Fuller was supposed to be poorly but Jesus Christ - to have ANY hope of promotion (even via the playoffs) we simply must put chances away. My opinion is we've totally blown Automatic now and - it's very possible on current form we may even MISS the top 6!! Can you believe it!!?!? Palarse did defend well (Well done Clint Hill) but we should have beaten them tonight..... What looks possible on paper is turning out to be the exact opposite in reality. Tony P talks about luck.... Well, if we do go up to the prem this year you can easily say Stoke have had all the luck in the World to be where we are now due to other clubs faltering.. I think Hull, Watford, and West Brom will now take their chances and beat us to the finish line in terms of promotion. We'll see - I'm bloody gutted

Yer about spot on PMac.
No Lenny means long ball. And half a Fuller means only half the magic.
We need favours from Palarse, and 3 wins from 4 plus a draw (minimum)
Will Pulis go for it, pick the kids at right back, stick bRoy/Gally on wing if Lenny isn't fit for Cov (and Pulis did not sound hopeful in his post match)? Sadly, I very much doubt it.
Satdee's a big day now - If Watford go above us Wednesday, and the worst happens Satdee, I reckon it's the "excitement" of the playoffs for us ... Can't see us overtaking many teams who overhaul us at this stage.
Time for prayer I reckon?

Mumf, Sorry fella - no wind up at all from me.
I wish it was to be honest.
You can't tell me that you were happy with the game tonight?
Considering 60 (yes SIXTY) Million pounds is at stake - you're happy with that performance?
Hang on...... I'm just going to fetch the dog in, shag him up his arse then burn him and put the embers in a pipe and smoke the twat!

I think Gallagher would be a better prospect if Liam's out... at least he'll attempt to get the ball in the 18 yard box whilst the others get in position to receive a pass through the middle?
0 - 2 down at half time - We ALL know what the team talk should be but I fear Tony' team talk was "Don't panic" there's no pressure here we can afford to lose a couple.....
His after match talk mentioned other teams around us slipping up... What!!
Since when did we have a chance like this only to rely on things so far outside our own control it's unthinkable??
Yes, we've done well and TP can be proud of where we are, but remember - form is temporary- class is permanent and NOW IS THE TIME - Not next week, next year..... NOW STOKE ... NOW!!

I am sure its been mentioned in the media before??? Nah opti. Fuller, Lenny and set-pieces got us where we are now. And only one of them played half the game tonight. Injuries/illness aren't TP's fault; but as is typed on here an awful lot: No Plan B ah

Well, I admire your "optimism" stokieoptimist but could I suggest that competing teams only have to do their homework to suss out that particular tactic.... Palarse and Warnock did and ... they won The media has mentioned it yes, mostly critical about it and there comes a time when flair and ability plays more important part than the "physical" label we've been given. Ricardo showed what needs to be done tonight for a short time and I'd have to say fella, it's Ricardo and Liam that have bagged the goals by taking on defenders with the ball and having a shot on goal. West Brom have the highest goal ratio by doing much the same.
