and Im afraid to say we blew it tonight. I have stated before that we must not play with a fear of failure. Tonight we did not fear failure. We were PETRIFIED of failure. Up until palace scored their opener, we pressed them and attacked them. If Cort's header had gone in off the post, the game could have been so different. However, as soon as we went a goal down, we looked frightened to death. The 2nd was a killer. The timing, the standard of defending was crucial. That goal at that time could well end our hopes of automatic promotion. Why did the defence just sit back and allow the ball to be pumped back in? We waited for it to come back in instead of pushing out and following the clearance.
I urged Pulis to release the shackles from the players. It seems that they have well and truly been glued on. Tonight was a huge blow to our automatic chances. We are 13th in the form table and we dont look like improving.
