Not that I'm suggesting luck had anything to do with the goals we conceded. Utter crap at the back. Comical defending from Pugh to let Sinclair into the box (when it's apparently obvious that to knock him out of a game you just kick him a bit) and the Griffin's far post defending? To follow a meme off one particular thread, it was Hoefkens-esque. Awful. Couldn't bear to watch the second goal again, looked a good strike.
Crap lineup. Ameobi is a man who isn't Fuller and isn't Sidibe and who had a poor game. Was that performance worth £125,000? He didn't look match fit and he won't be match fit before the end of the season if he wasn't. Sidibe did alright, but there was nothing to suggest he might form some sort of partnership with Ameobi.
As for the luck bit. All the things we've had go for us all season and then all of a sudden...lovely header from Sidibe, the goalkeeper gets the faintest of touches and tips it just onto the wrong bit of the post. All those chances in the box that just went the wrong way, the ball bobbling off Palace legs into nowhere, the whole lot. Can't believe it. Harsh ratings time:
