Sorry, but he is out of position, which is not his fault. However I would never hear a bad word about sidibe before tonight

Apart from the first goal when he was out of position and it was his fault I actually thought he played quite well considering his form of late.

Bollocks. That's lazy. Wondered when the first anti Griffin thread would come up after the discussions this week. Griffin was no where near the woest on the pitch. Apart from that goal i thought Whelan was shite. Don't think he found a stoke shirt all match and was slow when on the ball.

Griff didn't play too badly, but he is way too slow to be honest. Every time I see him run he seems frightening slow, and I must say this goes for Pugh too. Right now I would be much more comfortable with Wilko and Dicko instead. It's no coincidence that we let in fewer gaols when these two are playing, especially when Dicko is playing!

No he didn't. He dwelled too much on the ball, half the time he made the wrong choice, he did not motivate players as a captain should and yes he was out of position for the goal. On defending, 50/50 got beat sometimes but defended ok sometimes. Not Captain material. Agreed 2nd half better, but CP were 2 nil up and sitting back (good defence) so we looked better than as an attacking option.

Griffin is fast becoming the scape goat, it's unfair to single him out tonight, he didn't do much wrong.

Why won't none of you be critical of others? How many did you think played well? We are obviously feeling the pressure. Let's hope the players think fuck this we'll show them. That's what we need to get back to. That tosser Brown had a right grin on his face and i'd love to wipe it off him. Come on Stoke fuck the pressure now, let's how them what got us up there.

Yes but he is the captain and you expect a captains performance, he has the responsibility on the pitch to motivate players and to lead by example, which he is not. Not a scapegoat, there were plenty of players who went missing tonight. But griffin is the captain.

We have no leader at the back. Riggot is a good player but appears to have taken a vow of silence, same with Cort. Pugh is pure and simply not a full back, and Whilst Griffin was better tonight, he is so slow, and is not a Captain. We are having to watch incompetent displays when there are two young full backs who give there all in every match they play.

Anybody else need be dropped then billy? Or is it Griffins fault for everything? Apart from his first goal of the season for us, how did you think Whelan played? Did you see any passes to a fellow stoke player all night? How many times was he caught in possession when on the ball?

I seem to remember you blaming a certain player for most things not so long ago Sportsman. Not that I agreed with you then , or people blaming Griff for every mistake now.

Griffin is undoubtedly playing wank at the moment, but he's not doing it on purpose.
I think you'd be better addressing your message to the man who picks the team.

Wasn't Griffin part of the record breaking clean sheet defense last season ? ... we never properly replaced Higgy, thats what is wrong.

It is very hard to praise the midfield, but, half the time the ball passes them by, well about 30 foot above them. Pugh and Gallagher on the wing in front of Cresswell (MOM my eye) every time.

I never said Griffin was playing great in the last few games. I said he has been way off form, but he'll never stop trying. Can we say the same for other players. That's all i am saying. Still no one mentioned if Whelan completed a pass today?

Yes Whelan did complete passes tonight, usually out to Griffin for him to balls it up. Personally I wouldn't have awarded anyone a MOM award tonight as no one deserved it

Still no one mentioned if Whelan completed a pass today? Any decent midfielder would struggle in the style we employ? It seems a bit chulish for anyone to slag Whelan off when hes probably just scored one of the goals of the season.
