Why the fuck Wright-Phillips gets in the England squad ahead of Matthew Etherington?
Watching this City game on TV and he is fucking terrible. Hasn't a clue where he is on the pitch and makes Wilko's ball control look world class. Christ on a bike.

Its not how good you are its who you play for?....If Shawcross played for Chelsea and Terry for Stoke and Cahil Man Utd and Ferdinand Bolton and they all played formwise exactly the same as they are currently playing who would be Englands 2 centre halves?

SWP and Barry were utter wank tonight. You had footballer in Silva and Toure being shat upon by that pair of clowns. But Man City were doing what they were at our place. They kept the ball nicely but were just too slow and getting no where. There is no zip in what they do. And it wasn't helped by SWP having the touch of a rapist.

It's all about style as in who you play for.

Not being funny, but Ethers has hardly been pulling up trees this season either
Adam Johnson will be a certainty when back (although he is a lefty who likes playing on the right), reckon Ash Young/Lennon, even the wank Downing and SWP will all be picked ahead of him
Would have to have a pretty special last third of the season to usurp any of them
The miserable one will also have to accommodate Lampard, Gerrard and Wilshire in midfield somewhere, given his recent announcement of love for the little Arse bastard.

I agree with werrington , If you play for a ( fashoinable Club) top 4 your in , are selves and clubs like Bolton , Blackburn , Wigan are players are always over looked , If Ethers was at Everton , Spurs , Man C , he'd have had a few caps by know , Its just the way it go's

We have to be honest, ethers and shawcross aren't good enough to play for England, no matter how much we love them. Shawcross is nowhere near composed enough to play international football and ethers just aint consistent enough and technically not good enough either. Always, I'd rather have them fit and playing their good stuff for us.

I think there is something in the accusation that players for "unfashionable" clubs tend to get passed over for some rather ordinary "big names", but if they're genuine international class, they usually come through eventually. Ethers is probably unfortunate not to make the squad more regularly than he does, but Ryan should be nowhere near based on this season so far.

That will always be the case though won't it but based on this season's performances alone, neither Matty or Ryan have been on top form in my opinion.
Ryan has been OK but has been very up and down whilst Matty, whilst continuing to be our main source of supply, hasn't been at his best either and his delivery from open play has been poor on to many occasions.
Both merited a call up in advance of others last season when they were on top of their game but neither has justified a call up in my opinion, this season.
My main thought in the International stakes is that Germany must have some outstanding centre halves available to them if Huth cannot be called up.

Agree. Its an absolute disgrace that Etherington hasnt been given a chance in the England set up. Guarentee if he went to the world cup he would have had far more of an impact than the other crock of shit that was playing on the left wing.
