I'll renew as long as I can continue to afford to - just like I have for the past 10 years. Don't see why it should be any different now.

To contribute to an odd thread, my tuppence worth is....
I started going to Stoke in 1990 - the season we ended up in our loweest league position ever, was it 14th? In the Third Division. The bug bit me, i've been a Stoke City fan all my life.
I've gone to as many games as i can afford since then, and in the last decade, had a season ticket when i can afford, luckily for me.
I will be able to just about afford renewing for next season.
So why on earth would i not renew?
I support Stoke City, and regardless of what any reactionary short sighted muppet says, it's still a great time for our club.
Some folk dunna have the brains they were born with, if they were born with any.
As long as i can afford to go, i shall go and support the club that i will always love.
If i cannot afford to go, i will use whatever means possible to follow the match.
Stoke City football club isn't something you can walk away from and come back a few years later, or choose to avoid or even detest because you don't like the manager/players etc
It's a lifelong love, i think so anyway.

Its not even a decision for me - I will never not renew as long as I can afford it
Unbelievably I missed the whole of the Promotion winning season whilst on my gap year in NZ and so I missed the whole Saturday experience more than I could possibly imagine!!

Renew, even if we got convincted of crimes against "proper" football and were relegated to the Conference as punishment. Being a Stokie is unconditional.
Anybody who wants to abandon ship now because they see being 9th in the Premier League as inadequate really has no idea what being a Stoke fan is all about! I can assure you that if you go will not be missed!

You have to admire the way some people can make the most positive situation into a negative......enjoying our most successful period since the mid 1970's and dopes like Waitingforwaddo can't wait to jump ship. Thats it buddy you enjoy your Saturday afternoons playing Football Manager while the rest of us suffer another season of Premier League torture.

A home season ticket is essential, but in all honesty i wopuldnt pay to watch them away if i lived in England. This year is my 50 th as a Stoke fan but i get very frustrated and angry at some of the away performances and credit to the lads who stick it thru thick and more thick.Tp HAS got to change the away performance because its not fair on the supporters who travel

Hope you all realise how lucky you are to be able to attend football on a regular basis in these times of redundancy and hardship. If the day ever comes for me again when i could plan my life round watching scfc like when i was young, carefree and without family then i would snap it up straight away no matter what league we were in, who the opposition is, even with occassional dire football the social pre and post match is well worth it. Never had a season ticket in 30 years but i've had seasons clocking up plenty of games.
One day i will get that elusive season ticket. And i'll treasure it.

Be totally honest with yourself anyone contemplating not renewing next season. Before I get cruxified on this site please don't accuse me of being a part time supporter. I was up in the Boothen End(North Stand) several nights after we got hammered 7-0 by Birmingham. I accept we have a long term strategy and week in week out I justify our teams policy to many United,City,Liverpool supporters I seem surrounded by at work.I don't have any problem with our policy of survival first and then progress. However the football is at times turgid and I don't think Pulis is the man to take us on. The team colours can run through your veins but if in the immediate years to come the standard of our play remains the same season ticket holders will reduce in numbers. Sorry a true supporter will attend matches if they can. Nobody stops going because they 'don't like the football' , Christ if everyone took that attitude we would have played in an empty stadium many a time in the last 25 years or so. Just ANOTHER silly thread having a pop at the manager when we are ninth in the PL, with all the same phrases regurgitated ('taken us as far as he can', etc). Nobody ever thought that this is perhaps as far as we will ever get?

On the fence. I have supported this club from afar for 40 years but over the last 15 years have attended 95% of our home games and about 1 in 5 away. The stuff we are playing of late is unwatchable. I wouldn't mind so much if this wasn't the "design" of the manager.
Its tempting to pick the games in future.

I'll renew as always but the standard of football is poor due to TP and his ONE aim to stay up and never be relegated.Unless the tactics change I can see many not re-newing. TP has to realise Stokies now want to see more creative flair (Tunny obvious eg) and not just 6ft brick shithouses, let's hope the summer brings in more creative players to support Matty and Pennant.

I have been a season ticket holder for many years but I am considering not renewing mine next year. My youngest is 14 and as such I will have to move (even though I have been in the same seats since the stadium was opened my eldest is 18) I have great seats back row so can stand etc which is what I like to do. Also with the amount of home games on TV and the stupid KO times, rising cost of my tickets etc I think I may give it a miss and use the money for a golf holiday with the lads... Slate away.....

Anyone who supports INDIVIDUALS against the club is not a Stoke fan. I support the club and abhor those with no respect for it. And I include Pulis, Kemp and the sheep who follow them in this. They are a malign growth on this fine club. But the good thing is that when Clueless and Krapp DO go, Wandonlodge and Potters are sure to go with them. Oh and that dunce Foxy. ;D

Wrong again fella. I've seen ALL of it.
And not one manager in all that time has set out to play such anti-football shit.
This is a stigma that we'll find hard to shake off.
If not impossble.

your obviously not a supporter if you decide to renew or not depending on style of play, what division were playing in, who is the manager. You should renew whatever happens unless of course you cant due to financial reasons

Well even that's a rarity these days. But yes it is: very similar to the ugly old Watford of old. No midfield, just wingers lobbing it in for two big lummoxes.
Pulis hates football. Full stop.

We have played plenty of games with 2 wingers wfw. You can't use a poor months worth of performances as proofand write off the rest of the season.
