I'd buy a season ticket to watch two dogs shagging as long as one was wearing a Stoke shirt.

Not renew. Too far, and too time-consuming, to travel to watch Pulis-ball without the seige mentality we had when we first got promoted. I'll be at all London away games though.

For me it is a cert that I renew. For goodness sake it is the Prem! We will have the likes of Man U. Man City Arsenal and so on and yes, we do give them a run for their money at the Brit and as I understand it, we are usually one of the lower price clubs (please feel free to correct me on this one if I'm wrong) but I will be there for my season ticket, for sure.

Anyone who can afford/has the time and supports the club should be renewing. I don't understand how people could have watched the shit we've had over the years only to stop going when we have the best team we've had since the 70's.

In the words of Marsha Tomi(my cousin Vinney) Its a bullshit question!!!!
If your so shallow not to renew because the soccer aint that good then bollocks,i've witnessed some shit and don't agree with Tones away tactics but i'm a Stoke fan and thats enough for me!!
That said i am only going to 1 more away game Blackpool as i have booked up but while Tone is in charge i will not be attending any away games unless Fail or phewe pop up.

If you needed any doubt about dumbass wfw's true colours just read his posts on this thread.
Its SCFC what i care about, not TP or about any manager, i have supported this club since 1977 and have hardly missed a home game in 34 years.
I have seen some absolute crap during that time, but i have had mentals, and i have cried with joy most recently when Huthy scored in the last seconds against Sunderland, thats how much it means to me.
I am lucky enough to currently afford to buy a season ticket and until i cant, i will.
Thats what this football club is all about, its SCFC, managers come and go, we are just lucky at the moment with the stability we have. Enjoy it while it lasts because if our history is repeated it wont last forever.
Only idiots or recent converts would risk what we have now.
SCFC till i die (unlike wfw)

Renew, then at least you've earned the right to come on here and have a little moan if you so wish.

I will renew until I'm not fit enough to go. Which hopefully will be decades away. And for the record I am delighted with the football I see at home anyway. Pennant and ethers are the best duo on the flanks for stoke in 30 years or more. Huth n Ryan are the best centre half partnership in that time too, and Carew and jones are probably the most famous pairing up top we have had in that time.
Basically I'm loving being a stoke fan at the moment and there is no way I will miss out on seeing the next additions playing next year.
Also it really bothers me when TP, the saviour of this club, gets slagged week in week out. I know some of the slaggers will have been season ticket holders when pulis first arrived but I generally get the impression that these PHW's have jumped on the band wagon. It is my fear that when the going gets tough pressure from the haters will force Coates to sack him. Then we will get relegated, and all these tossers who are premiership fans will fuck off and leave the core true support with some other manager who un-does all that Pulis has done. But I'll still renew even then, and I'll give my support to the next group of lightbournes, every step along the way.
Progress takes years, and we are gradually on the up. Stick with tone and we'll be top 6 which is about the highest you can get without a billionaire owner. I'm proud of my team, my manager and our style of play and even the tactics because they work for us. Even the away tactics are working because enough points get picked up throughout the year to progress. So RENEW you miserable bastards. SUPPORT your team thick and thin, your either a supporter or your not.

I do not think i will be renewing, the football and team selections very poor to watch at times. Also if i renew i might end up watching championship football all year, which i do not want to do.

Since Pulis returned to the club (5 years ago?) there has never been a month when some fans on here have not posted that they will be selling their season ticket or not renewing it because: Pulis has taken us as far as he can/the football is the worst ever/we will be relegated at the end of the season (delete as applicable).
I suspect many of those making these statements were also "promising" that if Coates was successful in buying the club back it would mark the start of a long slide down the leagues into obscurity at best or liquidation at worst. ;D

I don't agree with much WfW says and he's an abrasive character at best, but you can't knock his decision.
He hates Pulis, hates his football style and is always on here moaning about it. So he's just putting his money where his mouth is and staying away.
That's what I can never understand about the moaners. If you don't enjoy the game (and you've not got a ST) why put yourself through it? You're no less of a supporter simply because you choose not to go to the games because you don't get any enjoyment from watching it. Do something else with your time and cash.
I love it! Full houses, top flight football, better atmospheres (than 12,000 in the championship), increased media coverage, cup runs (what are they again?!), competing with and beating the top sides in the country, that's why I drive 120 miles once a fortnight! I guess I must be easily pleased and to be honest I'd rather be that way than a negative moaner who can't enjoy our best period for a quarter of a century. Part of me feels pity for WfW and the like.

Hate the thought of someone having my seat, so renew it is. I know - it's one thing that drives me to re-new. Same seat since day 1. Unfortunately someone bobbed in and nabbed mine for the Brighton match (wanted 3 together, so let the deadline slip).
