We are just a hoof team at the moment mate. I swear we played some good stuff in the first half at Brum, i must just be going insane, but we did. Didn't we? Nurse! WE DID!

I like Brighton; One of the best young managers in the game in Big Gus (but Steve Cotterill was given this title at Cheltenham and ended up a penis but I like Gus and think he's a top guy). Chris Wood has a bright future (shame hes a boing, boing baggie shizzle), Matt Sparrow is a decent player - very tenacious, Glenn Murray knows how to score on his day, Dicker is a decent midfielder and they have Radostin Kishishev and hes always been a solid defender...thing for Brighton is promotion is more important than the FA Cup for them which is more than understandable so it depends how their attitude towards the game is; however think we will win with home advantage and higher level of quality in the end. But looking forward to it ...pissed off mind its made the WBA game to a Monday night game (if we win) thanks to Sky the feckers!.

Kishishev will not be playing on Saturday as he is off with personal problems at the moment, but he has been playing central midfield and can still ping a pass across the pitch on a sixpence.
My guess would be 2-1 or 3-1 to you, i think we will score but quality will show in the end in this case.

I think you'll have a chance because we play arsenal away on the wednesday and pulis will use the " well we've had 3 games in a week nigel and we had to make 11 changes v brighton because staying up is the priority blah blah blah" . If he start the diao, tonge etc and have no fuller or etherington brighton could easily win the match. Hope i'm wrong and he plays at least 7 first team players then i think we'll win

Well i certainly hope it is not a full squad from our perspective but on the flip side it would be nice to gauge where we are as a team if you do have a full or near enough full team out.
I suspect though that Pulis may see your Premier League status as more important to a point

As strong a team as possible with Shotton at right back, Sorro in goals and Fuller up front.
The rest of the 11 should be our regular 1st choice side though I would be tempted to partner Rory with Whelan in midfield.
Sorro Shotton, Huth, Ryan, Higgy Pennant, Delap, Whelan, Etherington Carew, Fuller
That would be my choice, but then again, throw Wilko in at right back and that would be my first choice 11 every week, with the possible exception of Begovic instead of Sorro. Whoever plays between those two though, the team is no weaker.

So the 3 games bit would be a weak excuse even by Pulis' standards. Strongest possible XI for me. If we disrespect them it might backfire on us.

Why notskintanymore? Have you won the lottery? Blackpool came here in the league cup last year and were 3-1 up at one stage before we battered them back to win 4-3. I am worried that you will do the same especially as we dont seem to play at home in the First half at all! Also our cup record is appalling so I would not be surprised to see BHA win at the Brit on Saturday. (Now about that personal loan??????)

I like playing Brighton, we usually win at home and it's a nice away day.
But i'm afraid if we play our full strengh team (Including Pennant ;D ) We will win comfortably.
Stoke 3-0 Brighton

No way will it be Pulis' strongest XI, but then sometimes his "weakened" teams are actually better than his idea of the first team... ;D We'll be something like this: Soro Wilko Huth Higgy Collins Pennant Wilson Whelan Pugh (or Ethers if fit) Walters Fuller As foster says, I think the fact we're at home should just about swing it for us. Could be close though. Please god no bloody replay. Think I'd rather lose.

Our full-strength team with Etherington, Pennant and Fuller would destroy you: we will decide not to play this team and play Delap and Pugh on the wings with Jones and Walters upfront. You will win 1-0.

We need to play Delap in this one. The only reason his throw hasn't worked this season is because teams have accustomed to it, however Brighton haven't so it will be a rare occasion that it could be used to effect.
2-0 Stoke.

Depends if TP continues to take the competition semi serious, if he does I think we could get turned over by Brighton.

Hey all, Firstly, if there has been any crass or rude comments made from the Albion drawing you guys in the cup, well, there are always some idiots i guess. Tough draw for us as you have a big physical side compared to us(and can play a bit too, although some people think you are just a hoof it team for some reason) and i guess neither of us want a draw either(Unlikely). How do you guys think you will line up in terms of first teamers and fringe players? I would think that long throw would be good to keep as a form of attack or is it likely you will put out near enough a full squad? Depending how we line up, we may play 3 up front or with Noone and Bennett on the flanks. We never seem to win at your place so i can see a 0-3 this weekend ;D Or maybe not! Cant see you doing to well playing no-one mate.

..........or with Noone and Bennett on the flanks... Noone won't play, he's cup-tied. Hopefully we'll give you a game but i reckon Stoke to win 2-1

Pullis has certainly got it wrong about our cup final. I think the majority of fans would rather see us go out so we can concentrate on promotion. Ticket sales have been slow, especially when you compare it to Villa last year when we sold out 6,000 with ease. This is due to a number of things. Poyet plays a weakened side in the cup and we have our sights set on the title. I don't think you're style of play is really capturing the imagination! That's not meant to be a dig, just the truth. If you play to your strengths, put out a decent eleven and play physically (sorry to stereotype you, but that game against Sunderland was terrifying) you could win easily. We're not the biggest side and conceded a very soft goal from a set piece on Saturday. I also expect Poyet to rest two or three (including our captain and keeper), something I wholeheartedly agree with. However, we've only lost four league games in 27 this season and only once by more than one goal. If you give us time on the ball we could easily score a couple and then anything could happen. PS - Follow the link to see highlights of our game on Saturday and the reason why Huth will be rubbing his hands together... news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9396476.stm

Oh yes and Noone is the Gu from Plymouth and Bennett is the guy we turned down £1 million for from Norwich. so those two can be threats as well as Murray and Wood(our big lad up front) Calderon, the spanish guy at right back gets forward alot and overlaps so he could be a hidden danger as for a right back he can score Appart from the fact that noone can't play as he is cuptied.

I think that pullis claiming this is our cup final is way off the mark.SO far off the mark that I expect Gus poyet to rest at least 4 first team regulars. That is not to say I don't think we can win I think we can.But I would prefer to lose a close game with no injuries or suspensions than win & suffer a couple of crucial injuries. All things being equal stoke should win but if we play well & you don't we will win.

We rarely play well but still finish mid table every season, if we play well it could be 3 or 4 nil, carpet football doesn;t work against stoke, unless your arsenal or man utd etc, we'll probably win through a scrappy set piece, such is our football
