Something that has always confused me, if prostitution and soliciting a prostitute are illegal, how is porn legal?
They both involve people having sex for money and porn must involve some kind of soliciting to find people to take part, so how is one a huge business and the other a seedy, illegal act?
For the record, i think both should be legal and regulated.

Interesting point. I wonder where the rules blur, surely you can drive around to see if anyone wants to take part in your video in exchange for money.

Surley if it was that easy, every brothel would just have a video camera in each room, then 'sell' the tape to the client at the end?

The only logical reason I can think of is because the majority of prostitutes are forced into the "industry". Whereas porn is consensual.
Either that or the police view anyone who is willing to anally assault a drug addled, pock-marked munter with more diseases than the average laboratory, behind a few dustbins at 3am in the morning and pay not much more than a tenner for the privelege is a dangerous lunatic who should be locked up.
Whereas if you bang a Porn star, I reckon you'd even get a high five of the pope, while he's taking a day off from molesting youngsters obviously.

"In the United Kingdom, prostitution itself (the exchange of sexual services for money) is legal, but a number of related activities, including soliciting in a public place, kerb crawling, keeping a brothel, pimping and pandering, are outlawed.
The Policing and Crime Act 2009 makes it illegal to pay for sex with a prostitute who has been 'subjected to force' and this is a strict liability offense (clients can be prosecuted even if they didn’t know the prostitute was forced)."

Isn't Porn just computer generated?.. Some mens willies can't be that big surely? It could be worse, you could be an inexperienced Japanese teenager who has just stumbled upon Porn, who will then constantly live in fear of the day his genitals turn into a pile of pixels.

As the JCmeister's said, sex for money isn't illegal, but kerb-crawling is, and touting for business is.
How do I know? Cause I'm a muthafuckin' P.I.M.P.
